I can guarantee you they're fake. I work at a GameStop and if a game is defective then we send it back to warehouse to have them fix it. Console box could be legit? It'd just be a weird thing to flex tho. As for what you'd actually find in there: cardboard. Maybe some posters. If there's a poster at GameStop that you want, ask the employees when they're switching out the marketing kit and if you can have the old posters because those we do throw out otherwise.

Eco friendly act of 1988 state that you can dumpster dive in all 50 states once it’s in the trash it’s no longer owned by any company, so needless to say, rip the sign off the trash can

I work at a gamestop and I can almost guarantee you that there won't be anything in them. We are not allowed to throw games or anything out in the dumpster. If a disk is broken, we send it back to warehouse to have it fixed. if we were instructed to throw something in perfectly good condition away, we're all fucking gremlins too lmao we'd mooch off that so quick
