New to storing cooked food in the freezer. Does the quality degrade due to freezing? I'll be mainly freezing sauces/gravy based dishes, or things like chicken and rice. I'll be using vacuum seal bags.

Once you put a piping hot meals in the bag to cool, how long does it usually take to cool before you transfer to the fridge?

leave them to reach room temp, then put in fridge or freezer

Oh great thanks for the tips,brilliant.So is this ok my chihuahua,jack Russell. & Jackapoo doesn’t eat dog food so I cook either a chicken or chicken breasts,if I oven a cook a bigger batch then freeze ,when they are defrosted fully is there no need to cook them again?this would save loads a time 👍🏻xx
