- Hey Guys and Gals,
We are officially on the road living full time in our DIY Cargo Trailer Conversion and this was our first experience in a Winter snow storm. We stayed dry, warm, and had a lot of fun!
We had the opportunity to stay 3 weeks in Silverthorne, CO on some BLM land. We arrived just as Fall was starting to settle and then experience the snow. How cool!
Overall we had a great experience and would absolutely return to the Silverthorne area. So much to do and so much beauty all around.
I hope you enjoyed the video!
If you would like to keep up with our journey, please do not forget to subscribe to this channel and go checkout my Instagram page " whoiskyran " where I post much more frequent updates.
We are on the road across America!
Out there stealing people's fire wood!!!. Haha kidding my guy. Great video!
😂, one man’s trash is another man’s treasure!! .. Haha, thank you bro!! ..(we just touched down into Sedona 👀)
Killer build!
Thank you Sir 🫡
Your channel is fantastic, man. You're producing great content. Don't lose hope. You're going to get to where you want to be, my friend. I'm dumbfounded that you don't have 100,000 subscribers. Gotta get that exposure I guess. I met one CZcamsr that told me his channel gained 75,000 subscribers basically overnight because of one video that went viral. Never know when that's gonna be, do ya?? Keep the faith. Happy holidays!
Heavy Doodie, Man I really appreciate that! Its exactly what I needed to hear right about now cause things are slow moving lol. But you are right, I gotta stay at it and keep grinding!! I really appreciate the kinds words and encouragement.
You are right though, I have to get more exposure. I hope that HIT comes for me 😀.. Cheers brotha!
13:36 Hello! I really enjoyed your video, and I love your cargo! Most of them look like trailers near us. Looks like a Home!
I’ve been following van life, the buses, etc. for about five years. I’ve been alone for the last year took care of my mom for 13 years before that we wanted to go on the road but she went blind so we stayed here but she made it till she was 92 now I’m going to go and do what you are doing. I hope in the next year or so . I really enjoyed your Contant. I’m going to check out your channel and look for more videos. God bless you all. Enjoy the life before it’s too late. I’m glad you’re doing it while you’re young I’m 65 and may not get out there before I’m 66!❤️😊13:36
Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm so glad you've been able to follow van life for the past five years and I'm sorry to hear about your mom. There is something so special and unique about being able to go out and explore the world, and I'm glad that you're getting the opportunity to do that soon. I hope you have a wonderful time out on the road and that you can make some amazing memories. Enjoy life and don't forget to take in all the beauty around you.
Happy Holidays Linda 😊
I'm JELLY. Your living my dream lil bro. Literally but I'm happy for u proud of u. Live it up!!
Appreciate that !! I’ll be in Phx soon, I’d love for you to check it out 🙏🏽
I just watched your trailer build walk around, looks like a sweet living! And yes, your in one of the most world class ski resorts in the world! There's severals in CO. You should look at getting into some real bikes that handle so much better and since your also in some of the best biking on/off road.
Its been great! Thanks for checking the video out... The ebikes (fat tire) have been a blast and surprisingly work decent in the snow. But a bit heavy, so next up is to swap them for some mountain bikes. That way I can bomb down some of those ski resort hills when its not snow season. lol.
@@whoiskyran1446 sounds like bbn you thinking what I was saying. Go talk to several real mt bikers, and settle on a good investment in a mtn ebike, andbit will change your life! Especially if your going to be in mecca's like that!
Epic video my guy! Epic.
Appreciate you checking it out bro!! 💪🏽 All love my man 🙏🏽.. Now just share it will the entire Paris community 😆 jkjk
@@whoiskyran1446 Way ahead of you! :D
Really enjoying this! Keep it up!
Sweet Rod, I appreciate you checking it out and keeping up!! More adventures to come 😁
Hey Kyran, another great video👌 Well insulated for that outside/inside temperature differential. I like the interior height...contributes to a quality living space and room for those overhead dumbbell presses 💪😉
Appreciate that Joe!! It was beautiful, and yes the insulation is doing us well. That and the diesel heater lol. .. But yes, your right 😆, gotta have that interior height for them presses lol.. Thanks for checking out the video Joe and glad to see you hanging around 🙏🏽
Excellent vid 👍
What a great place.
Cheers
It really is!
Hello kyran excellent video much success
Thank you very much Guillermo! 🙏🏽. I appreciate you checking it out
Another great video! I am loving your content. You give great info and detail. This one is near and dear. I love Silverthorne/Frisco/Keystone/Breck .I just moved last year from Colorado back to Texas. I miss the snow and extreme cold, but when I go back to visit I'm usually over it in a couple days! :D :D You know there are 100's of miles of warm and sunny beach down here available for boondocking on, right? lol. I would recommend exploring South Padre or even North Padre Island some day when you get a chance, just for the sake of boondocking on an empty beach (depending on how many miles you want to drive down the beach and what is reachable with your rig).
Brice, Thanks man I appreciate that!! Yes, that Silverthorne area was probably one of my favorite spots so far. It was magical. Haha, I can understand being over the cold quick. That's how my GF is usually.
But yes, I have heard about Texas being a good spot for boondocking. We are trying to push north into Canada this year, but once we make our way back down south we will likely be passing Texas and I will have to checkout those areas! Thanks for sharing man. I love me some Beach 😁
Hey Kyran, love the video, living in the western MD, I’m not ready for the snow yet, but the video and the views is great. It looks like you all are on a continuous vacation. Be Blessed brother keep the video’s coming.
Duce, what’s up boss! Man I appreciate you checking the video out 🙏🏽. Living in MD, y’all weather is perfect right about now hu? Probably above freezing at least 😂..
Yeah, the snow was a good experience for us overall. We just can’t completely run away from the cold it seems. Here in Utah now, and snow (light snow) expected this coming weekend 😂..
But for sure man, I’ll keep them coming 💪🏽. Stay blessed and please enjoy that sunshine if you got it, for me 😆
@@whoiskyran1446 I do a lot of cross-country riding on a motorcycle, I've been through Utah but not Colorado yet; that's in my plans for 2023. I bought a cargo trailer, but it's nothing like yours; mine is 6x12, just to trailer my bike and maybe do a little camping. Check us out on 728 Riding Club youtube sight. Be blessed, luv your vids
🔥 video great job
Sweet! Glad you liked it bro 🙏🏽
New Sub as of today. Watched a previous video and subbed immediately after watching this clip. Really good content so far. What town is this.
Thanks Luke!! Welcome to the channel 🙏🏽
This video was in Silverthorne Colorado. Such a beautiful place! Especially around fall/winter time. Omg, I wanna go back already. Lol.
Great vid! New subbie
🥳 Awesome!! Thank you !! .. Welcome to the channel 😁
Great content bro keep it going i am linked in
Fasho Jamal 💪🏽 I appreciate that 🙏🏽
yesss im obsessed with your cargo trailer keep up the videos! just a friendly criticism the background music is a bit loud and hard to hear you talking at points
That’s great feedback! Thank you for that. I was unaware. I will be sure to pay attention and adjust the volumes on the next video. Thank you Bungler 😊
Also, I appreciate you checking out the video 😀 🙏🏽
Dam dude wtf, you made lifting those logs like they were hollow?? Am I missing something, because they looked like they should be much more heavy, or else your from another planet lol, which is it!? I've handled stumps that size and they were like 100 lbs or more those looked like maybe 25 lbs somehow
Also you should look into a dual fuel generator, because propane is much easier to store
Thanks so much for another great video. Did you have any issues with the cold? your tralier build is sick!!! Hoping to find a used one later this year and fix it up! Just got back from Zion two weeks ago. was amazing. What kind of heater do you have on your rig? Enjoy the desert!!
Hey Gary,
Thank you 🙏🏽! I Appreciate that.
Man we did GREAT in the cold. We use a diesel heater and that thing is PLENTY for our big space. Single digits outside, we stayed 74+ degrees inside. TOO HOT sometimes 😅, had to shut it down.
Zion is SO BEAUTIFUL! We spent a couple weeks there tent camping during a winter storm last year. Emptied out the campground aside from us, park roads closed. It was awesome !! I’m looking forward to going back.
How often do you need a generator to augment the power provided by solar? I was kind of hoping that solar would eliminate the need for a generator! Also, re: shoveling the solar panels on the roof, did you have any issues or concerns? Are they pretty robust, or fairly easy to damage?
Since being on the road 7 months full time, I have used the generator about 6-8 times.. A couple times when it was just cloudy, day after day and batteries were getting low. The other times when we run the mini split in pretty hot places (100+ degree outside). .. Shoveling the snow off panels were no problem at all. They are pretty tough material.
@whoiskyran1446 Do you do anything to keep your plumbing for fresh and grey water from freezing?
Na I don’t. All my fresh water plumbing is inside, my grey water plumbing is laid under the floor (still inside, just between the sub floor and main floor along the insulation), and my grey tank is hanging below trailer in an insulated box.
That’s been no problem for us 👍🏼
@whoiskyran1446 it'd be awesome if you could do a more in depth video on your plumbing so we could see and get some ideas
what are the dimensions of your cargo trailer height width and length? Allso would love to know what kind of truck is needed to pull it?
It is 20’ x 8’ x 8’.
We pull it with a Chevy 2500 HD truck. Gas engine, but plenty of power to pull this thing around. So far it’s been great with no complaints 👍🏼
I don’t know the exact weight of it yet (haven’t taken trailer to scale) but it’s on my list of to do.
can you post the music playlist its fire
Hell is eternal
What hanging bags are those for the fruit?
Check out my most recent video on my channel (tour of the rig). In the description there are links to everything 😁
@@whoiskyran1446 thank you very much
He does love you he died for you like like videos
Is your home galvanized trailer ?
No, unfortunately not.. just steel trailer with a protective coat sprayed on from the factory to help prevent rust.
I am home sick.
I would be worried about someone breaking into your trailer if I went out to ride bikes or whatever.
It’s secured pretty well 😃. But always a risk!
