  • The Three Ladies Podcast interviews the team behind all of our video creations. David Toth and Cyril Caurthens are beyond creative geniuses. In this episode, we discuss their film, 5 25 20, about the reaction in the Charter Schools to the George Floyd murder. The film weaves elements of the realities of the past and now and how we still deal with similar circumstances. We hope this day before Juneteenth, this episode will spark discussions of how we can all see how to take steps to make change.
Film 5 25 20 - This movie is meant to be a conversation starter about a topic often buried in the public consciousness. Teaching the true history of the United States, which includes systemic racism, is demonized by certain factions as “Critical Race Theory” and ignored by those who find the topic uncomfortable. Those who are convinced that an effort should be made to teach a more complete history of our nation are often not certain how to proceed.
While this film does not aspire to provide a solution, it raises a different perspective that may be a starting point for fruitful conversations in an educational setting or a larger context.
