  • I visit the mysterious labyrinths of the North and the Mediterranean. What was their purpose and past, and how are they used today?
I hope you have had a good holiday and wish you a nice and peaceful year ahead.

I appreciate how you reflect the experience of the labyrinth in telling the story of your journey to the island. It seems the mist wanted you to pause in the center and the dancing by the water felt timeless. Gotland has more than 40 labyrinths for those interested in walking them in a variety of settings!

Beautiful video as always and thank you for sharing a bit of your history about the labyrinths. It's hard to fathom why anyone would vandalize such a spiritual and mystical place.

A wonderful journey through the history of Nordic spiritually and how it connects the people to the land, water, sky and heavens beyond. What a beautiful land you live in, one filled with never ending adventures and the peaceful beauty of your homeland. You have such a peaceful, calming and beautiful voice. One that carries me in a lullaby to the stars. 🏞️😊💙

Thank you, fascinating glimpse at these ancient stone labyrinths on the Swedish islands that served many mystical purposes. Another example of Spirit in Stone - human's timeless relationship with stone. Humans have placed and fashioned stones in circles, henges, megaliths, temples, pyramids, cathedrals since before time was recorded, but we still see today the Spirit, Intentions and Dreams imbued in such stone-works. There is both a mystery and magic there.

Shocking to hear that barbarians vandalize such a spiritual place. Oh, I would love to visit that labyrinth myself. Never heard about the scandinavian labyrinths before. This video will be shared and saved in a playlist.
When I worked in an Indian reservation in Cuyamungue/New Mexico I was told not to move any rock because it can be part of a holy pattern. Also I lived alltogether one year with tribal people in Nepal where greeting stones and rocks daily is part of life.
Greetings to you Victoria, the beautiful fairy dancer and have a blessed day new year.

"Labyrinth" means "where the labrys is".
Labrys means "double axe" (Hammer of Thor/Perun/Ukko etc.)
Axe like hammer, is a symbol of the life-force, the beating heart.
So the Labyrinth is where the life-force dwells, the barrow, the womb of the mother, burial mound.
The oldest Greek word for the axe is "Pelekys", from the verb "Pellein/pallein",
meaning "to beat". Etymology itself confirmes that the axe is a symbol of the beating heart, of the lifeforce, thus
explaining its association with the life-force god, like Zeus.

Just enjoy the scenery of the islands
Many will never see it but by you they
Will say they were there to enjoy it all
And you dress up for the occasion
As it is again only your dress you wear
No bra and no panties worn beneath
And walking in bare feet for pleasure
