      This “look” of mine was never really my intention, this is just my response to not having a dress code for the first time in my adult life.
      I did clean cut, shirt and tie for 25 years and then found myself asking
      “What would you do if there were no rules”
      I may look ridiculous, but it’s quite freeing. I’ve actually been confused as homeless on three separate occasions and really did enjoy it every time.
      My trucker friends can’t picture me being a pharmacist and my pharmacist friends are stunned I am a trucker. This life is a trip…

    Hey brother, I appreciate all the work you put into making these videos. Would you mind sharing your thoughts on motive ELD and possibly how much it cost per month?

    • @STATTrucking
      @STATTrucking Před 3 měsíci

      I absolutely will, I’ve actually been thinking of making a video about it. In the meantime, I really like it but keep in mind, it is the only ELD I’ve ever used so my experience with others is non-existent.
      I pay $75/month which covers ELD and front facing camera.
      They will try to upsell you on driver facing camera which I did not do.
      I do my own quarterly IFTA filings and getting the information I need from them is very easy.
      Whenever I want/need dash cam footage, that is very easy as well.
      Everything I mentioned is accessible is real-time through their site.
      The only thing I dislike about it is if you forget to put it into personal conveyance and move the truck, it automatically starts your drive clock and there is no way (that I have figured out) to retroactively change it back to PC.
      I really am satisfied with it but wish I had another experience to compare it to.
      If I ever were to change, I am interested in learning more about a Garmin model that apparently has no monthly fee. I don’t know anything about it but have heard such a thing exists.
      End of the day, I’m sticking with Motive unless they raise their prices to something exorbitant.

    If my direction of pickup location are same can i booked 2 loads at a same time? If my truck was half empty

    • @STATTrucking
      @STATTrucking Před 3 měsíci

      No.
      Assuming your truck could accommodate the volume from two loads, your work queue in the app requires you to completely finish one load before assigning yourself as a driver to the second load.
      czcams.com/video/-i2Lpmzje3k/video.htmlsi=mKKUnDLAcGc0cPhF
      Now, some people get “creative” and think they’ll add a second driver in an attempt to “double dip”. You could get away with that until they ask you to do a “real-time” selfie. It’s what I was talking about at 5:20 of this video.
      In order to pull it off, you would need a second valid driver with you AND you would have to be 100% that your truck could accommodate both loads AND that you could make it to every stop for both loads on time.

    Did you get e mail from amazon saying post safty event i just got this what’s this about any idea?

    • @STATTrucking
      @STATTrucking Před 3 měsíci

      Yes, I received it earlier today at 1:05PM. I know it came out as a bulk email from the ATS Safety Team and I believe it is them reminding us that if a safety incident occurs, we must respond within three days. I (knock on wood) have never had an incident, but if I were to would follow their guidance and provide whatever information was requested regarding a safety event.
      If you have not been involved in a safety event, I believe this email was sent to both of us as an “FYI” and requires no action.

    Hello, wouldn’t Amazon request a driver for that 0345 load at 10pm which is before your 1st load? Wondering how you assigned yourself to the 0015 if would have to had assigned yourself to the 0345 load. I believe Amazon requests a driver 5 hrs prior to the load starting. Thanks

    • @STATTrucking
      @STATTrucking Před 3 měsíci

      The 0:15 load was the first one I accepted. When they reached out to me a second time, they originally claimed to need load #2 picked up at 3:15 which I “refused/re-negotiated” for 3:45. As long as there is one minutes between loads, you are good and will be an eligible driver for both.
      I’ve seen that five hour thing before and started out following it, but then it dawned on me one day, everything I book is starting in less than 5 hours, so if I’m gonna be wrong with every load, how wrong can I be? I enjoy testing things, especially limits. They may claim five hours but did it with 14 minutes on this day.

      I remove my load from me and basically leave it " floating around" for a while then when I complete first loads I assign myself or sometimes it let's me assign myself even though the times overlap. Wouldn't advice on doing as I do because maybe it won't work with you.

    • @STATTrucking
      @STATTrucking Před 3 měsíci

      I’ve never tried removing driver but it has me wondering now…
      When you remove a driver, does it clear it out of your work queue on the app?
      So say someone booked a A➡️B➡️C where A➡️B were in the morning time but then B➡️C were much later that same day (or night), could you remove driver (essentially pause that load) run some other load(s) during your downtime, and then restart B➡️C when it was time?

    • @roberttrevino5205
      @roberttrevino5205 Před 3 měsíci

      Oh ok, maybe it works a little different when your getting loads through spot capacity. I had book some local loads ones day that I thought I had enough time to do both of them and of course Amazon requested a driver and it went over the 15 mins they gave you and I ended up losing the load. Thats for your feedback! Have a good one

    • @STATTrucking
      @STATTrucking Před 3 měsíci +1

      @roberttrevino5205
      Of course!
      With spot capacity, you are actually talking on the phone with an Amazon representative and get to negotiate the rate and the start time. After you both agree, they then send you the load and it shows up in your upcoming trips. I ALWAYS stay on the phone with them until it appears (1-5 minutes) because one time the person hit a wrong key and scheduled me for a 24 hour hostler shift (supposed to be 10 hours) which require a lengthy callback from ROC. If they’re still on the line and a mistake is made, it’s an easy fix.
      I will say, even with load board loads, I’ve bookended them before with very little time between loads and as long as they’re not overlapping, I’ve still been able to assign myself as a driver (in advance) to both.

    Something I'm stuck on and desperately need help with: do I need to have my authority for 180days BEFORE Amazon will let me start pulling their stuff? I want to buy a truck, get everything set up, but how am I supposed to pay MY bills while waiting out this 180 days?

    • @STATTrucking
      @STATTrucking Před 3 měsíci +1

      This has become a hurdle for everyone. The recommendations I’m about to make might be BS because I have no first hand experience with any of them, there just ideas I’ve heard that seem feasible. Please understand, when I started with Amazon, they did not have the 180 day requirement so this has all come to me kind of through word of mouth.
      ⚫️ Purchase a properly aged authority. I am not connected to this site in anyway but it sounds like they sell what you might be interested in:
      truckstaff.us/services/aged-mc-with-amazon
      ⚫️ [preface - this one seems shady] I heard from a guy (Can’t get any shadier than that) who started an authority under the premises of being a medical transport, using his own car, had to buy commercial insurance which was not expensive so it looked like he had “active authority”. At the six month point, he added on a box truck and upped his commercial insurance to the Amazon minimums. I know he is working with Amazon today and it seemed to have worked for him.
      I get why they did the 180 day thing, it sucks, but prior to this unfortunately Amazon Relay has a TON of scams and it seemed to curb some of that. Going onto Reddit and searching Amazon Scams is a never ending rabbit hole.
      I would caution you against working with people claiming to be “Amazon Brokers” during this time, these same people contact me and it’s hilarious the lack of effort they put into hiding what they are trying to do is an actual scam.
      That’s not to say there aren’t legitimate companies out there that will allow you to lease onto them and pull Amazon loads on their behalf for a fee/percentage. What I would seek in this relationship is transparency. Amazon pays every week on Wednesday for the previous week, in other words, all the work I do this week 4/28/24 - 5/4/24 will be paid in full to me on 5/8/24. If a company starts talking about once a month pay, or they’ll pay me in 3 weeks from now, that would be a 🚩
      Another thing to look for is, are you able to book your own loads and see what the load is actually being listed for? I’ve met too many people working with a “dispatcher” who are told they are taking a $600 load which I know 100% was on the load board an hour ago for $1000. On top of this, they then are kicking back 10% of the $600 to the parent company. So the person doing the work is walking out with $540 and the person who clicked the button gets $460, feels wrong to me.
      I wish I had a “perfect solution” for you but I’m not sure one exists.
      Just to reiterate, those “recommendations” above are “rumor mill” at best, that’s just me exhausting every option I know of.
      If you have any questions/concerns, let me know, it may take me a minute but I’ll always respond.
      👊🏻🍻

      @@STATTruckingthank u so much for this. It really helps. Its just confusing..one page says I need an active authority for 180days, but next page says 'once u have your authority, apply and you could be approved within 1-3 weeks. Uggg

    • @STATTrucking
      @STATTrucking Před 3 měsíci

      @@waden404 I know it seems confusing, but both are actually true.
      After you hit your 180 days, it is going to take them 2-3 weeks to process your stuff and get you signed up with them.
      I hear from enough people that it may actually take a bit longer (not trying to be the bearer of bad news here). I’d hate for you to go into thinking that on day 181 you’re going to be “all set”. One thing about Amazon, everything happens on their time frame, not ours 😞
