love emergency sewing kits. i have a few from Taiwan and Japan, I even have some from my Grandparents when they traveled. I keep them in a wooden bowl in their original packaging.. Love the display of them. You did a great job on Teresa's pattern. I know it's a big one for you. Smalls are fun, but there's something satisfying about a bigger one.

Hi Doreen. Congratulations on finishing your Teresa Kogut! It's beautiful and whoever receives it as a gift is one lucky person! I've never been to Dollywood but it is on my list. I love Dolly Parton and a friend of mine brought me back a Dollywood mug from her trip which is one of my favorite mugs:) I go to Disney World every year and am headed there at the end of this month for a week. The quilts from the show were stunning. I quilt but I haven't done any as intricate as some of the ones that you showed. Happy Stitching:)
Thanks! Dollywood is so different from Disney. It's mountain themed, and a very wholesome and laid back atmosphere.

I have been to Dollywood many times, I sign for the deaf, so when she does Deaf Day I volunteer to sign...alway fun and amazing....remember your Sunscreen......the ship is amazing...have fun and be safe
Thanks Nannett! And thanks for the reminder about the sunscreen. I had a biopsy done on a spot on my back last week. Because I used to be a redhead, I get a lot of skin cancer pop up from when I was young and laid out in the sun trying to get a tan, which would never happen. I use a daily moisturizer now that has sunblock in it. That's pretty cool that you go over and volunteer for them. Have you gotten to meet Dolly?

I have never been to Dollywood. It's been many years since I was at an amusement park, once the motion sickness started it was no more roller coasters for me! Next time you come across a batch of bright flosses walnut stain or coffee dye them. You'll get some wonderful shades that way. Love your Happy House finish, it will be an awesome gift.
I could dye them, but I have plenty already. I don't do the roller coasters or rides either. Dollywood has wonderful musical shows, and just a great, relaxed atmosphere. That's why I love it. :) It's down home, mountain theme.
That snowman is adorable. Your house sampler turned out beautiful and I'm sure the person receiving it is going to love it. I haven not been to Dollywood but we do go to Branson a couple times a year. The floss would be a great addition to my stash.

That was quite a find I enjoy going to quilt shows but have never found anything for sale except quilt patterns. I love the ship stitch. The bright floss would come in handy.
This show had a whole section of yard sale priced stuff, and it was cheap!

We did drive past it earlier this year on our way home from South Carolina and we would love to go back and spend some time in that beautiful area. Thank you for the shoutout! I've been to Dollywood a couple of times. I really enjoyed the shows. I'll be visiting the Pigeon Forge area in March next year. Have a great week!
I will be there first weekend of March, camping with Sisters on the Fly ladies camping group, at the Chuck Wagon Cook-Off. I sure hope it's warm!

I am so glad you were able to make that little book! I didnt realize that she had the pictures for them there! That snowman looks amazing and Im glad you got him finished! I would like to know what copier you use, the colors are so vivid and I havent had a copier in a few years now that worked properly. Enjoy your trip!

Dollywood is a great park for all ages. I don't go on rides anymore, and I like Dollywood because they have musical shows, nice shops, just a relaxed atmosphere.
Have you given any thought to over dying those bright floss colors. I saw a video about that!
