I started surfing at age 13 in 1973 and ended up traveling all over the world in pursuit of the perfect wave, of which I have found many. A very nostalgic piece of music for me. Glad you like it! I didn’t know this song until one of my guitar students asked me about it a few years ago. As soon as I heard it I knew it would sound good on steel guitar! I was a teenager back in the 60s when the movie came out but it wasn’t on my radar at that time.

hmmm... play steel with a coffee cup. Not a bad idea! I used to play steel with a beer bottle back in the day.
Thanks! I think a bottleneck is not heavy enough to produce the kind of tone and sustain needed for steel guitar. Just my opinion.
