SCP-001 is currently located in several alternate dimensions simultaneously, and is unable to enter into the prime dimension. However, it is believed to have been repeatedly attempting entry. The physical, mental and conceptual properties of SCP001 are unknown to the Foundation; nevertheless, it continues to assert a strong influence on a number of individuals and events within the prime dimension. The Scarlet King is definitely one of the more interesting mythological beings. I like how he manages to stay much the same regardless of which "SCP canon" he appears in.
If you have been a fan of scp for a considerable amount of time then on the contrary, you would find Scarlet king to be probably the one of the least interesting and probably one of the most overrated scp gods out there. His entire persona is just "Oh look I'm so evil why don't I destroy the world?", which is a basic generic villain, the scp gods like the Hanged King and Yaldabaoth are far more interesting and complex villains than the Scarlet king

Something to be considered about 999 is that we have no idea what that "defeat" of the Scarlet King might look like. What if it is more than simply slaying him, but rather making him feel something other than hate and pain?
If you think of the nature of the Tickle Monster I wonder if something as vile as the Scarlet King could be saved?
Read the tale series called “Adventures In Capitalism” by Djoric on the scp wiki. Besides being an awesome series based on Wondertainment and their conflict with the Factory, spoil alert, it actually shows us the defeat of the Scarlet King too. I’d really recommend reading it if u want.
Saved? Probably not. Undermined? More likely. If he was made to feel something other than endless pain and hate he'd probably (eventually) implode.
Of course there's a Tale on the SCP wiki where its explained that the Daevite book is not actually true, more like evil empire fanfiction, so like everything else SCP all of this "history" should be taken with a grain of salt too.

It is implied that 999 won't slay or topple his Father. But rather cure him of his suffering that reality causes him (which is why he seeks its destruction). So more likely the Scarlet King will become a benevolent god that will actively preserve reality, rather than destroy it.
I really dont like that scp. Its the retcon of all retcon scps. It turns something interesting and unique into something boring and samey.
Hopefully other ppl realise how dumb it is and make it not part of their canon.

I am personally a huge fan of the kaktusverse, and I love his scp 4818 and 4840 entries. In 4840 there is a passage where they describe a painting in which the scarlet king, the gate guardian, mekhane, Yaldabaoth, Dr wondertainment etc, stand around the first king, Adam al asam, so in my head canon adam is still the strongest.
The Scarlet King takes the term "keeping it in the family" to a *whole new* level. 😂🤣

It's my theory that the "shield" against him is unity and camaraderie.
Much like procedure Montauk, you cannot fight evil with evil. If, somehow, humanity and anomality united in one front, it'll be enough to bring about the end of the reign of terror. The Scarlet King never knew such a thing. His subjects never "admired" him, they feared him.
If he was shown how powerful of a stand "unity" is, he will feel his very first instance of "fear".

Just like a rampaging fire, You cannot fight evil with more evil: no weapon, no warrior, not a single solution can slain the king, because no evil can harm him in the first place.
Think about it: if you have to fight a metaphysical evil, who lives outside of reality, you can only use... A metaphysical good.
Only scp-999, the one child that does not crave evil, can finally stop the king, not with violence, not with chains, but with love: the evil that is the scarlet king will be destroyed by its own counterpart, compassion.

I wanna see a movie series like the MCU, with characters like 096, 682, 2332, and 999 all getting separate movies. Crap happens, and the foundation is forced against some insanely deadly creature capable of destroying the planet. Nothing too powerful, but still deadly. The foundation is forced to use a truly last ditch effort, and let _every_ anomaly out. It would be awesome, live action and all of them fighting some powerful being.

I feel like the best SCP stories are the ones that don't directly involve the SCP Foundation itself, like the story depicted in this video. Because the SCP Foundation, on itself, is not a whole lot interesting (imo). At the same time, though, the SCP Foundation is what glues all those stories together and the importance of that can't be overstated.
PS: Yeah, there are interesting stories that directly involve SCP Foundation members, but those are more about the characters themselves than about the Foundation.

There's one reason I hate the Scarlet King. The fact that the being is a singular entity across the SCP-multiverse canon implies that it must also exist in our reality since our reality is not entirely separate from the SCP-multiverse.
For me, the idea of a multiverse demon is as ridiculous as some characters in comics and it isn't appealing to me when a character feels so strong that it is incomprehensible. This is why I prefer the more grounded SCPs with actual possible grounded explanations compared to "mysterious and incomprehensible" world-ending ones like this and WTDB, etc.
What I figured out the Tree of Knowledge (i.e. the SCP Multiverse) is made up of several levels of reality. Our own universe exists in the 3rd dimension. There are several higher dimensions. The Elder God's exist in the highest levels. Let's say the 8th, 9th, 10th so on. So the Scarlet King exists in the top most level, the 10th dimension perhaps, along with the Brothers Death who oversee the entire multiverse. Higher dimension beings cannot exist in the lower dimensions, the same way humans can't exist as dots which is the 1st Dimension. They can only project a limited physical manifestation. The SCP 682 or SCP 173 contained by the foundation after all are just physical avatars of higher dimension beings.
I was wondering if the SCP has Dead by daylights Entity entrapped within the foundation. I could imagine you use her to entrap other SCP's within her pocket dimension to satisfy her and to study them. Not to mention to prevent the Entity from whipping humanity out of reality
