I’m thinking about starting a CZcams channel as a male teacher. I haven’t seen a whole lot of them. I’m waiting to hear what might happen for next year first. I was a temporary teacher this year and so far I have nothing lined up for next year yet. It’s been a huge disappointment but I know I just have to keep trying.

I feel your pain. I’ve been moving and setting up for 3 weeks. It’s harder when the room is already packed with stuff. Hang in there.
Although I know it’s not ideal that you have had to move classrooms every year, I do enjoy seeing your newest room and watching you transform it. Amazing to see how much you have been able to move into your new room already. Can’t wait to watch you settle in. 😀 Hope you are getting plenty of opportunities to relax and recharge too!!
Love watching your journey! I’m a 20 year vet teacher and I get inspired watching the teaching experience through fresh eyes. Let me blow your mind…. I teach in a year round school (3rdgrade) and I move classrooms EVERY 9 WEEKS!!!! Totally makes you a minimal teacher…. And cuts majority into our teacher planning days, as I spend 4 of them moving out and in and resetting my classroom. I take pictures and reset my room exactly how I left it. I am positively giddy this year….. found out I get to keep the same room all year!

can't get over how lucky you are with all of that storage AND a storage room! in my little portable we don't have a closet or cabinet or anything :/ definitely have to be creative!

I am 15 years old and you might me want to be a teacher you are so movtied and amazing I have a so many mental health issues but you helped me with my depression it's been so hard with covid but you made my heart melt and you made me get the help I needed from the buttom of my heat thank you for everything you have done for me in my life! ❤️❤️😩👀

omg. All that space! I would suggest to put the big table (the heavy one near the front door) in the storage room. This is because you could perhaps take a small group in there as there is a black board already in there. ☺️

Hi Kim! Not sure if you have gotten there yet, but will you be making a calming/peace corner at all? And will you be getting STEM toys? I know my students loved a "soft start" where they could come in and get out a STEM bin or colouring for the first 20 min. Can't wait to see what you do!

I give you so much respect!! Teaching is so exciting, but working in the actual classroom wasn't for me. I'm still in the education field as an intervention specialist, but working outside the classroom. Thanks for the ideas and I like the videos! 😄
Oh my goodness I love it ! Have you ever taught second ? You’ll LOVE it ! I’m a Grand Valley alum , I taught in east Michigan for 4 years and Tampa for 4 . I’m considering moving back to the mitten , if I do my heart is in the GR area 😭

It’s hard moving to a new room. This is my 2nd year moving to a new room! My principal promised no more moves after this move so at least I have that. It’s good that the other teacher was quick to move her stuff and you could move your things in relatively easy. The teachers room that I moved into left a lot of stuff mostly junk for me to go through. I didn’t like that. Glad your move has been a success.😊
Could you make a video on how you use/sell things on TpT? I’m struggling with trying to find free images or non-copyrighted images such as the shiplap background to use in my products! I would love your advice or tips on how to use and cite things accordingly!!

Have your district even decided on having you bring back your white couch, more rugs and some stuffed animals including flexible seating stuffs and other stuffs that you have to put into a storage unit? Something I actually noticed is that in your new room, you have the window still shelf and counter back which is nice again!
I would think that should be asked before she moved those things, it’s too much work right now.

Do you like that dark blue color on the outside and inside border of the window of your new storage room? I’m just curious, and what would be better is, if you were to get permission from your principal to repaint that trim to black to match your what you like better with the black, white and boho that you’re into lately! I'm so happy that this brings you joy because I love the videos you make. Also, question. Would you rather have a small classroom with a small group or a big classroom but with a large group of students? My classroom is like a third of yours but my group is quite small (8 kids).

Maybe not. Depends how custodians are.
I have moved classrooms 6 times in 3 different schools (7 years of teaching) and have never had help from staff.

Your a busy moving teacher. I love to play schhool and I want to be a teacher when I grow up. I had a llly school in the basement but then we moved 3 tables, 2 bolten boards,pens,markers,baskets,and more! And I know how hard it isI feel so bad for you. I also want to know the baghroom you have can you use it 2hile you are teaching in the class room? Have you ever been when you were teaching like I have to go to the bagghroom so bad you were like OMG I am going to pee my pants? What do you do?

Almost! Our badges stop working for a little while over night, but other than that we have a lot of freedom to come and go which is awesome!
@@ElementaryInTheMitten I wish I had that pleasure. Only the custodians and principal have the alarm code. And our time in school is limited before the custodians kick us out.
@@JennAngel25 - I know Jennifer! I get so jealous when I watch Kim’s vlogs! I wish I had access to my classroom like she does. My time at school is very limited too and this past year, with the pandemic, it was even worse. 😔 I’m hoping this coming school year will be better. 🤞🏼

Teachers move classrooms from time to time. Why is this a thing?
Grade changes are the biggest reason. Also, sometimes admin wants to change up the layout of the school. :)
