  • "GENERATIONS"
"They [Spintronix] are the greatest mobile group from the Bay."
    - DJ Q-Bert, legendary DJ, DMC Champion & DMC Hall of Famer
"Spintronix is that crew in the Bay Area; that taught all the crews how to be the crew. We were always in awe."
    - Ritche "Yogafrog" Desuasido, CEO, Thud Rumble LTD
"What stands out about Spintronix is that they're as vibrant today as they were when they first started."
    - Oliver "O-Dub" Wang, renowned music journalist
Conceived in 1985 from beneath the mists of Daly City, California and founded in the new and emerging low end sounds reverberating throughout the country, SPINTRONIX was born.
Through music a group of individuals became friends, friends became a crew, and eventually the crew became a corporation. In a region famous for its contributions to the DJ culture, SPINTRONIX ranks as one of the most renowned names in DJ entertainment, unanimously celebrated as pioneers of the "mobile" crew era.
The short documentary "GENERATIONS" chronicles SPINTRONIX from a group of high school kids looking to make a name for themselves, to adults running a full-scale entertainment company over three-decades later. Under the same family vibe it started from the crew has evolved with the times, and remain a name synonymous with fresh.
With lessons in longevity and the importance of structure and professionalism, this is more than a story about good DJ's. Loaded with archival photos and footage, as well as commentary from the founders and testimonials from world famous DJ's and scholars, "GENERATIONS" serves as a pivotal chapter in Bay Area DJing history.

And after several years during my college years I had the honor of being a member of Style Beyond Compare (SBCDJS) while attending college in SoCal. Thank you Spintronix, you were the "Bret Hart" of mobile DJing in the 1980s, and this documentary solidifies your legacy as the "best that ever will be." Other smaller DJ crews followed your standard, mine included. I hope this piece serves as a template for the millenium generation DJs to not necessarily duplicate the path Spintronix followed, but to emulate the cohesive culture of professionalism, innovation, creativity, and overall standard of excellence.

  • @majesticalproductionssos6142

We were one of those old school Bay Area groups. At the 6:30 mark of the video they show the Imagine 8 Flyer we were in that flyer and in the Imagine 7 flyer.
I've been looking for both those flyers.
Does anybody know where they have a PDF of them? PLEASE. Im trying to remember the Glory Days of Mixing in the bay AREA. I've asked on MixCrate.com but nobody has one.
