Is paying $22 to fish/launch at a small public lake worth the money? Let me know your thoughts...
$22 is not overly expensive until you realize locals pay only $6. That's a big difference. Other than that it look like you guys had a good time. The turtle catch was cool. Thanks as always for the content. Tight Lines!!!
Nice to see you guys smiling faces back in action , missed ya Bro. Great vid as usual
More to come!
I agree with recreational "fees"
But I also agree with a legitimate fee limit....not bs about "outta county blabla bla"... good one
I agree with fees as well. Especially if it helps to ensure the proper upkeep of the lake.
Overall $22 isn't much at all but almost 4x what residents pay is isn't cool! Good to see you guys boating some bass!
To their defense, there is an additional boat launch fee for in county residents but it's still much lower than everyone else. Good thing they're allot of other options to fish.
Great video fellas. I've been to piney run a few times but never on a boat I'm trying to find people who have boats to get some experience on the water.
Too much on my retirees' budget. Fishing Rocky and Triadelphia for free as a senior from Balto Co.
I hear you. And Rocky and Tria are bigger.
22$ is not bad…up in Ontario Canada most public launches parking alone can run up to 30$ you guys have it made in the USA.
I find myself singing on the boat also 😂 you gotta keep yourself entertained when nothings happening
Sorry about the high fees in Canada. That's tough, especially if you fish often. Singing definitely helps to get through tough days. 😂😂😂
fwiw, you can get a season pass but it's still a good bit more than the local reservoirs. I haven't visited this year
22 dollars is a little expensive for an electronic only lake, I'm guessing. Launches on the Potomac are 20 dollars.
Exactly. But Potomac has free launch options too.
Rich people mercantilize almost everything, but nature, water, rivers, oceans... belong to everybody, rich and poor. If the government charges for these things, where our people are going to enjoy life for free? You can charge money on Disneyworld, Las Vegas Casinos....but in national parks?? IT happens because people do not speak up. Congratulations that you did it!!
Would I pay $22 to fish the lake… yes at least once. Good chance that the fishing is good due to the cost. But it better be the closest lake to me to fish for me to make it a constant thing.
I hear ya.
Come to cali everywhere is $20-30
Ah man. No thanks. 😮😢😢😢
Lake st claire in michigan is $20 to park at the ramp.
Yes that is a little high. Myself and my son went back in August and pay only $12.00 that was it. Did that include ramp fee?
Since you have experience with carpet and turf, if you were to redo or in the future when you have to redo your boat will you use carpet again or the hydro turf type foam?
My next build for myself will be foam Hydro Turf. My boat gets wet so much the carpet gets really high maintenance. I'm starting my Mod V build out soon so stick around to see how that works out for me.
They charge you the same amount to launch a kayak. Did it once and never again. I get they're funded by county taxes, but they could bring in a lot more revenue with more reasonable prices. Things is, I'm pretty sure discouraging out-of-towners from coming there has always been the real point.
That’s always the case…I’d rather pay $$$ and have an empty lake to fish instead of having to worry about 60 other boats
@phils6733 if I'd found the fishing to be better, I might agree with you. As is, I can't afford to drop that kind of money on multiple trips to learn a new lake.
That's key multiple tomes throughout the season gets very pricey. PR also gets crowded including tournaments.
Yes, I can see maybe paying $10 but nothing more, if they need money to keep the lake open then they can maybe charge more for camping.
if the lakes here on long island were managed properly i'd pay that everyday all day.
Lol. I hear you.
I fished here today nothing on a boat
22 for out of state maybe but not out of county. I am only a few miles from that lake but in Frederick County versus Carroll. That's a stupid charge. Cost money to even take kids up there to play basketball or fish from shore. Not worth it but typical Maryland
I stopped going there because of that and there are a lot of fish that I ever found…
We didn't find much there either graphing around. It'd be deferred if we caught a 5 pounder lol 😂
dinks dinks and more dinks LMAO
Used to be worth it
Nothing public about a $22 entry fee… that’s a private/govt. business 😂 that’s Maryland for you I’m surprised they don’t send us a bill for breathing in Maryland 😂
20$ is nothing I know it sound crazy to say that but if u complaining about 20$ the issue is your finance
Can't believe they charged you guys that much to fish there. Personally I wouldn't be willing to pay it. Course then again I'm cheap so what do I know?
It's allot to pay, especially if you fish there throughout the season. I'm with you bud.
I’m in Columbia, MD and love punching piney run. Let’s fish. How can i contact you? - Shawn
