Not at all. Definitely Cubes fault. Also, I blame the Kpop industry and the majority of Kpop fans. Pentagon is authentically unique and care deeply about the music put out in the world. It's not fast, trendy music that hits big for a few months and then dies in oblivion. Pentagon are too good for Kpop, imo. I wish there was a more general music industry for Korean artists outside of Kpop that artists like Pentagon can promote more easily in. 😔

Pentagon is the group ignored for 4 years by people. Even SHINE which is one of the most iconic song in Kpop couldn't get them their first win. I was supporting them through their whole RTK journey..and I found that whatever Pentagon did people always criticized them...be it the VERY GOOD stage, JINHO'S ENLISTMENT stage or FOLLOW stage. I’ve noticed similarities in pentagon’s title tracks
1. Korean wordplay (daisy represents the flower daisy and sounds similar to a korean word that means burn)
2. Toxic relationships. (I think that’s pretty self explanatory)
3. Rebellion/resistance (Basquiat is in resistance of prejudice, naughty boy is about resisting the expectations from society and the older generations)
4. Growth (the lyrics change from “I hope you’re never happy” to “please be happy”)
5. Visually dark and intense music videos but meaningful lyrics and styling
In conclusion, pentagon best and most creative (self-producing) idol group
edit: they're also really good with showing heartbreak and nailing the nostalgia/bittersweet factor. naughty boy sounds so happy but a lot of people have said they feel kind of sad after listening to it. daisy's a really bright, energetic song but it's about heartbreak and a bad relationship. even sha la la is a party kind of song but there's a hovering feeling of sadness SOMEHOW. also, good job unis and non-unis who helped stream- we got the first win!

I can't remember how on earth did I stumble on this masterpiece in Spotify. But I clearly remember falling in love with this song at first listen. It was so beautiful and captivating but it sounded so painful and sad. I couldn't understand the lyrics but my heart ached every time I listened to it, especially the chorus. Rarely does a song makes me wanna cry.
Lately I've been listening to it again and well, I finally watched this MV. Reading the lyrics hurt even more. It's amazing how this song was able to convey its emotions to me even without the lyrics. Music indeed is universal.

daisy is one of the most genius concepts i’ve seen in my 7 years of kpop the way pentagon portrays being hurt by love that they want the other party to be unhappy but later realises that because they loved them they want them to be happy is like a healing process it’s so raw and going from “i loved you to death and you treated me like this??” to “i loved you to death and i’m glad i did” is just so achingly human :’) not to mention the song itself is a masterpiece i just keep coming back to this mv

@@sunshinelight5329 he is very fragile in health...he missed the comebacks multiple time. The one before his long hiatus, he attended a singing competition in China and went to the hospital multiple times.
He contacted cube and got no reply in December when he feel he is good to comeback.
Cube might be negligent because of change in management during that time. And apparently there was internal issue with regards to a change of a chinese company to another chines company(from fan speculation) after the new Chinese company took charge, Yanan seemed to be allowed to come back and they tried to shift management direction.
Or perhaps cube was just waiting for his health clearance since they don't want him to join for a short comeback and become sick again which explains their statement regarding yanan in Feb. I dont think yanan would be able to handle rtk schedules and stress seeing how he went through pentagon maker eliminated and then visibly shaking in China singing competition.
He was then announced to be starring in a drama in China to perhaps see if he can handle it and improve his confidence as a part of the group. And now he joins the comeback. Hopefully he continues to stay healthy
