First solo was much better on a technical and aesthetic level. The 2nd guitarist was very good, but she was definitely more of a showman. EDIT: Apparently the girl isn't actually playing the guitar. It was just a fun pantomime. I award her NO POINTS, and may God have mercy on her soul. đ

Darcy won. I read a story about Jimi Hendrix once, about the Band of Gypsys performance New Year 1969/1970. The first performance, on New Years Eve, he did all his usual antics on stage, and it was good because it was Jimi. But after the performance his manager (or producer) chewed him out, said he needs to quit clowning around on stage and just play. So the next performance, 1970-01-01, he just stood there and played. And that performance is sheer heaven to listen to. Band of Gypsys was my favorite album as a kid, it came out when I was 14. The musicality, rhythm, and expression were mind blowing, and I played along with it, trying to get every nuance of every note. Then much later I found a copy of Live at the Filmore East on CD, and somehow thought it was the same thing, I didn't know there were two performances. My vinyl Band of Gypsys had long been lost, and when I listened to this CD, I thought I was losing my mind! This was not the greatness I remembered, I couldn't understand why I once thought it was so great. That was before the internet, so it was a little while before I found out my mistake, and I had a fresh copy of Band of Gypsys to play, and it was as I had remembered - sheer heaven to listen to.
