Disassembly and repair of a non functioning Commodore 128D (original plastic case version, not the later C128DCR (cost reduced) metal version. Filmed on an Osmo Pocket.
@@skearon i ended up buying a 5v and a 12v psu. I placed them inside the old psu enclosure. Just make sure the 5v is able to deliver about 4amp and the 12v about 1.5 amp
Thank you! Would have been much harder to figure out how to open my plastic-case C128D up without this video/tutorial
Glad it helped
Thanks Stephen, was able to get my 128D's 1571 working again after seeing how to disassemble.
You're welcome, glad it helped.
What happened to the part 2? Could you at least tell me if you were able to find the problem and solution?
Nice! I am trying to fix one of this. Looks like I have an issue on the Psu. Did you find any specific service manual or diagram for this model?

@@skearon thank you but any of the files has the psu for this German model 😅
@@Radiogenes Unfortunately I have't been able to find one. If you find one yourself, do let me know

Did you repair it? I have the same problem.
Hi! I have a plastic 128D and I cannot locate any screws in the back of the machine! I cannot open it
Hi, I had no problem removing the screws, goto 01:20 on the time line
Are you still planning to create the “part 2” for this machine? I am interested to see the next steps of your project.
Thanks. I've since got other C128Ds so this one is just sitting in a box. But let me know what else you'd like to see
