    This is an honest and non-scientific review of the Qubestove 2-in-1 (multi-functional) wood-fired rotating pizza oven and fire pit/stove. Qstoves, the developer of this product offered to send me this unit to try out in exchange for an honest review (they did not say or encourage "a positive review" ) of this newly developed product.
    Here is an excerpt of the letter QStoves sent me, "Cook authentic wood fired pizza in just 90 seconds. Introducing QubeStove, the multifunctional outdoor pizza oven & fire pit in-one. Launching on Kickstarter over the next two months, we’re reaching out to invite you to be the first to review QubeStove on your CZcams channel."
    I accepted their offer and discovered this to be a fun and educational experience that has left me with the urge to fire it up again and experiment with different pizza recipes including other foods to try. There is even a Wok attachment for the fire pit which I plan on purchasing and experimenting with.

    Watched your whole unboxing, cooking and tasting. Decided to order one while the price was low. Should have it by February if the campaign goes well. Did the neighbor get their stainless steel table back ? LOL, Thanks for the great review, sold me.

      Thank you for watching the video. I’ve had a lot of fun with the pizza oven and used it a number of times. Sadly, the neighbors got their cart. They didn’t have ask- i needed room in my garage. Lmao. Let us know how your pizzas turned out. Remember, keep that thing spinning from the beginning. There’s a definite learning curve. Stay safe.

    Bought one, first thing was didn’t have top handle, next is handle for door broke with in 10 minutes of first use. Called company for handle problems and have received zero return call it been over four months now. Works ok for pizza cooking, Rotary wheel is a nice feature but tough to keep it at max temp. Hopper clogs easy with pellets. Not sure if its worth the money.

    Nice review. I think you did a great job. I think you will get even better results if you use an unmalted 00 flour and your doughball max size is about 275 grams. Not sure what dough you used but the 00 unmalted flour is what these ovens are made for. Great job, though.

      Thank you for the advice. I will definitely try that on malted flour. I’m looking forward to dusting off the pizza oven this coming spring and playing around some more. Thank you for watching, commenting and hopefully subscribing. Happy new year.

    Nice job Kasper, the only thing I didn't like is that you have to turn the pizza stone manually. But other than that good looking pizza's!

    • @SmokinwithKasket
      @SmokinwithKasket  Před 3 lety +1

      Hey thanks for watching. It’s a pretty awesome oven. I think either they have or are in the process of developing an attachment, a motorized attachment to turn the stone. Pizzas cooked so fast that it’s really not much effort turn the stone plus you can adjust the position of the pizza to cook more than one side or the other.

    I was planning to build oven with rotating stone and now I see somebody already selling it. I would build it anyway, also would be gas powered. I think gas is much better option for this type of ovens. I'm thinking about electromotor for rotation ? Or is it better if you don't rotate pizza all the time?

    • @SmokinwithKasket
      @SmokinwithKasket  Před 3 lety +1

      If you don’t act on your idea someone will think of it and act on it. I’m in that position right now. I have an idea for a smoker accessory that amazingly does not exist. I am confused about exactly how to pursue it. As for the pizza oven I think QStoves makes a motor that attaches onto that unit. And also, When you put the pizza in the oven you have to rotate it nonstop! It will burn if you’re not careful!

      @@SmokinwithKasket I mean, I have big brick smoker and I smoking a lot .of homemade meat. Making year and more aged smoked hams, but I never had experience with those BBQ smokers were food is half smoked half cooked on low temperature. As I said would build one from old water heater and separate firebox ... It would be good. ;)

      I have partially began the staining process. And I’ve shot quite a bit of video. I just need to do some finishing touches and do some video editing and I’ll be ready to publish the stain and seal video on that table. I apologize it’s taken so long as this Covid pandemic has thrown everyone including me behind. Stay with me. I’ll get it done eventually. Thanks for everyone’s patience. Stay safe.

    How do u control the temp? Just by adding pellets? Do u have to manually turn it every time or if u open the gauge will it turn with ur hand off? Nice pies .. oh and how heavy are ur balls

    • @SmokinwithKasket
      @SmokinwithKasket  Před 3 lety

      Great question. You don’t really control the heat. It’s a pizza oven so the fire needs to be hot as hell!!! If you really need to run it cooler just keep the front oven door off. And it’ll cool down somewhat. Other than that, just keep adding scoops of pellets to keep the fire raging.

      @@SmokinwithKasket well its coming today so I’ll see .. also have u tried the Carbon oven at all .. theres not too much out there about it but it looks amazing because they have a heat source under the stone, they call it a brick .. i’m thinking of getting one but i’m waiting to hear back from them if they’ll take it back if it doesn’t perform .. in their return policy it says u can only return it in its new and unused package l.. me and my daughters sell pizzas sometimes and while i will keep q if it works, the carbon does 14’s

    • @lebo109
      @lebo109 Před 3 lety +1

      Omg the oven didn’t seem that smoky in your video .. but when i tried it, smoke was literally everywhere like a grenade had gone off .. well it still didn’t cook the bottom that great and my eyes and lungs were burning ok maybe my throat .. i’m sure i couldve done it better but i put the fire starter in just like instructed and then kept adding wood pellets when the temp would go down, left the door on to keep heat in for the stone and it just wouldn’t heat up .. but the smoke was everywhere so i made like two pizzas and am now returning it and trying carbon lol
