- When I was playing Multiplayer in Asphalt 9, I experienced an unusual race. Not only was the race finished in 0.033 seconds, the 2nd player was completely missing from the race results.

Actually this happened to me where the 7th player was missing, it is often due to bad connection or just a disconnection at the beginning of the race. Overall, it’s not something to worry about, 99% of the time is they probably disconnected or internet issues or something. I as well was both on the victim’s side and the witness side.
I think this is the reason why 2nd player was missing. By the way this is not Classic Multiplayer
2nd player's car was the speed of light and it just yeeted out of the map when the race started
Theory 3 if the multiplayer server crashed then multiplayer would crash for everyone including ibelvga.
If this happen then the race will be aborted and therefore 0.33 second will not exist
i had the same thing happen in the same series with only 1 player tho. and there was no missing player.
it also happened like a year ago in mp 1 against 8 players, and i was the only one to actually complete the ''race''! unfortunately, that was before i knew how to record, so i don't have that one:( it would have made an interesting video for sure!!!
I test this in my club
It is because some players have big connection issues
Then it takes long time to connect to the race and players leave
That is the main cause
I found this with my friends
But i dont sure at 100%
If I also have poor connections sometime so it takes so much time to load the multiplayer and then I get disconnected automatically

This happens due to server error. 2nd player got disconnected before race. and 3rd player got disconnected in the waiting time before race started when the say " waiting for other players ".
i can only explain the time
maybe his game crashed when the race started and he left frame perfect before the 3rd could change to 2nd
my theory is that maybe the 2nd player got malware or viruses that is very dangerous or someone hacked his game
6th theory: the player hated the Apollo IE, so the Apollo IE was sad about it. So the Car self destruct and the player never existed.

I think last year i also have this type of glitch i shock to see my timing just 16 second in multiplayer

though because if it was a hack he would have won the race so the sever could have crashed.

This happened to me many times during huracan unleashed multiplayer
I guess that the race took long time to load , the same happened to me
This most likely happened because the 2nd place guy in the race were actually in another lobby and the server mistakenly showed them in ur lobby and the other guy probably disconnected this has happened to me before

That happened to me before in a hommage ibelvga says it's a PIG!!!!
I'm like 90% sure what is happening. . . 1 player had a sync problem and 1 player network connection problem. Both problems are different let me explain. Network connection problem is when a player has low drop in upload speed at that exact moment. Sync problem accours when your PC clock/time is slightly different than that from the game/internet, it can be only few seconds in difference but you will still get disqualified or you won't have real time in the race and therefore you going to end up in a tie with someones place with the same time (that's why you see many times for example when you're in a race at 1st position but the game show's you 2nd, 3rd etc. in middle of the race, at the end you will get tied up with someone). A player can also get disqualified if the game soft banned the player for 24 hours or more (when the game soft ban's a player that player will start his 1st MP race in that day, after the race starts it can diqualified him immediately or after he finishes the race).
So to conclude everything, 3rd guy shows up cuzz he had only a drop in bad connection nevermind the green symbol, the 2nd guy that didn't showed up got disqualified for one or another reason, that's why you instant win the race.

Oooh boy this gives me the answer from the missing 5th player but. This time gameloft didn't skip counting, for now im going with the theory 5 and my own theory is:
The 2nd player is probably cutting races, much like when the 2nd player sees the lobby, he/she immediately quits the game and plays another game?
It usually happens when your opponents want to loose rank quickly. They quit the race when the game is still "waiting for players," and then they will return to mp page. When there's only one player left that person wins immediately. There are a lot of reasons people want to loose points quickly, one of then being easy win = more milestone points.

you can get soft banned even if you don't use hacks
