Hi everyone - This is our last video before Christmas so for anyone celebrating Christmas we wish you a very Merry Christmas. Next video will be out next week as we explore Göbeklitepe and Mount Nemrut - more amazing places in Turkey. Thanks you to everyone for taking the time to watch, like and comment on our videos - Big hugs Marianne and Chris xx
I was a guard inside the Pantheon of Rome for 25 years and so I had to interact with hundreds of tourists from all the world. Turkish visitors were very friendly, talkative, nice and curious. It was a joke to get their friendship with all their family👨👩👦, we went to the coffee shop☕ togheter and so on. 🇮🇹❤️🇹🇷 They looked so humble and affable.
Great stuff ! Nice drone shots 🤠🕌😅
Thanks 👍 both xx Speak soon and Happy Christmas xx 🌺🤗🎄😘
no probleme with drone in turkey?
Hello. Congratulations for another excellent video. I'm Portuguese and I've been following your blog for some time. Congratulations.
I love your friendliness and joy. You managed to make me love Turkey. I had a completely wrong idea of the country.
Keep up the excellent videos. Merry Christmas
Thank you very much! That is great !! We love sharing our experiences as they never seem to match the negative media storm that is drama !! Yep Turkey is one of the friendliest and most diverse countries we have visited and should be on everyones bucket list for sure !! M xx
Chris and Marianne I hate to give you bad news, but you need to lower your expectations when you come to the US. Here are few reasons:
1. US is extremely commercialized, almost all cities and suburbs look alike.
2. 99% of the food is GMO and doesn't taste very good. Don't expect the same quality food as in Turkey.
3. When it comes to history... what history? All historic places date no more than 200 years and are extremely commercialized.
4. You better like Disney Land and McDonald's.
5. Private land everywhere. Most states have 70%-98% privately owned land.
6. No people on the streets. If you like the busy and colorful streets of Turkey, you are not going to find it here in the US. Also no street markets.
7. It's expensive. Why would you leave the great prices in Turkey and come to the US where everything is 5X?
8. Lot's of crazy people and homeless population is booming. Better find some secure places to park the van.
9. Everyone has a gun, you can buy a handgun for $100 in most pawn shops and it's perfectly legal.
10. Few months back where I live a homeless guy shot and killed another homeless person, who also had a gun. Better get used to homeless people with guns.
11. Most people here believe in freedom (which means no vaccines taken).
12. If you don't like to hear about school shooting don't open the TV, we have school shootings every 3 days.
Those are some of the downsides. All that said if you ever come to Utah please send me a private message. I will be happy to show you around.
Turkey Paradise...
I hope things will improve for you as soon as possible. I do think usa gov has the power to overcome these problems without much hardship but many different lobbies inside of it has mostly overseas purposes or agendas so i dont know what will happen but my best wishes
My friend goru this all sounds quite sad but also true....but for some reason the US has always been the country of my dreams and if I could choose one place on earth to live, I would probably choose the states even though I barely have any idea of how it really is like. There is just this idea in my mind of freedom, the country of freedom is the united states. I would love to travel it extensively, but Everytime I check prices for accomodations and rental cars are just so high that I discard the idea and go elsewhere.
Get into the nature in them us.Oregon / Utah/California/. Montana/ Wyoming
No much of the US is depressing. So much homelessness
Very little history and culture. Gun toting white guys. Big Sur ca is wonderful the Oregon coast love. Have fun explore
I'm amazed 👏 how Turkey 🇹🇷 is such great civilization. Now I see why people around world respect you.
I am so so proud of my mother nation which is bursting with history and gorgeous food. I love the story about Prophet Abraham and the carp being sacred in the river that nobody will fish them. Wouldn’t it be a beautiful world if there was such a story for everything then people would respect the world xxxx
This is a fascinating part of Turkey, a must see, then Gobekletepe is extra Gold on the journey. We did this same tour 3 years ago.
Wonderful xx
I’m so happy you finally made it to Urfa - my husband is from Urfa. Xxx
Wonderful
Turkey is a majestic land.
Sizleri tanıdığım için çok mutluyum,ne iyi ettiniz de Türkiye ye geldiniz..Sizlere sağlıklı,mutlu bir yıl diliyorum..Şimdiden yeni yılınız kutlu olsun,selamlar..

You a tribe people, there is no Kurdistan 😉
My wife and I have been following you guys for a while now. We are Turks living in Australia. We would like to thank you both for a wonderful ‘real life’ experience of TURKIYE. Selamlar Sedat and Betül.

My mom and I are coming to Sanliurfa next week and I was wondering if I should bring warm clothes. After watching this video, I know exactly what we need.
thank you

@@TREADtheglobe Thank you, I will bring some warm clothes and an umbrella.
Wow Sanliurfa is truly gorgeous!
Yes - very beautiful
Urfa is a great city and it seems like you guys missed a lot. Civilization is born in Urfa, King Abgars Aramean kingdom was in Urfa thousands years ago. The mosque you were in is the old St Mary Syriac Orthodox Church. The oldest Christian people (Arameans "Süryani") lives in Urfa till today.
Turistler sayesinde memleketi goruyoruz, sagolun ❤️🙏🏼
Thank you Mu Mu 🌺
I’d like to thank you so much for sharing your travels around Turkey. We’ve missed it so much throughout the pandemic. You’ve shown us places we would never have seen and it just reinforces what we knew, it’s a beautiful country with absolutely wonderful friendly people. I’ll really miss my Turkey fix each week. Are you sure you want to go to America? 😆😂
Ha Ha - yes we will miss Turkey too - but as full time travel bloggers there are lots of new places to visit and share and we will be back in Turkey soon enough 🌺
Awesome video guys, I was there about 15 years ago. We had to do a tour as there was no tourist access otherwise. I'm glad to see it has not changed much and is not over run by tourists. Would love to go again. Lunch looked amazing!
we love Şanlıurfa and Gobeklitepe! Have a wonderful Christmas spending time with your family and friends! Looking forward to your upcoming adventures! ❤️❤️❤️
Thanks Alicia - to you and yours too - love Marianne and Chris xx

ŞANLIURFA DAN SELAMLAR 🇹🇷🇹🇷🇹🇷🤚
I really liked this video. Especially the archeological part, which you don't see anywhere else. I look forward to your video of Gobekli Tepe, a 12,000-year-old temple that shatters theories about the beginning of civilization.
Turkey is such a historical place, masha'Allah!
Absolutely !!

@@fotiskosmos3009 and it belongs to you greek correct?

I’m always totally absorbed in your storytelling as you tour around eastern Turkey. You seem to hit all of the spots I’d be curious about if I was by your side. That market was spectacular. I must say you have brave palates. I don’t know if I could dig into that spicy side dish so readily. Thanks for taking us along. Happy New Year and I hope things go smoothly for your crossing of the pond.
Cool, thanks Kathi 🌺

Merry Christmas Chris and Marianne in the good old UK. Mario and Diana.
Riha(Urfa) is another beautiful Ancient Kurdish City. Actually City is the place of "Edessa" the ancient Jewish Kingdom used to exist 2000 years ago as another civilisation in the history.
Şanlıurfa is Turkey lol
@@lifesource333 it’s occupied by turkey, but it’s 90% Kurds that live there so it’s KURDISTAN
Love the videos, great content. Have a great Christmas in the UK . Already looking forward to your future trips. Dave..... Norwich UK. X x
