- In today's episode I'm excited to give you the grand tour of Crusher HQ, with a detailed look around my collection room. We're going shelf-by-shelf through the vintage action figure displays, featuring classic toy lines such as TMNT, WWF Hasbros, Kenner's Real Ghostbusters, Mighty Max, Toxic Crusaders, Crash Dummies, Ring Raiders and many more. I'm showing you the little entertainment area which includes VHS, vintage movie posters and the old Crusher family CRT television, dusted off after years in storage!📺
My collection room remains a work in progress and is not as large and impressive and some of the others I've featured on this channel, but we have to work with what we got!

Amazon has nice led bars that magnetize to metal stick ons and are rechargeable but last a while. They’re great in display cases and can be set to motion detection which is great walking into the room and they shut off when you leave the room and you don’t have to take everything out to stick them on
Oh nice, that sounds like an easier solution that would allow me to avoid having to wire everything in. I'll have to check them out. Thanks for the suggestion!

Loved seeing the updated collection room. JP is one of my favorite and the Toy line I remember transitioning to a collector with. I only wanted the figures that looked like the movie actors and didn't buy the dinosaurs with the rubber skin because I felt they wouldn't last. I have most of my original figures stored in their original blister cards. After that toy line it was all star wars collecting for rest of the 90s.
@@wesleyhendricks2486 That's really cool that it was your first line taking a collector's mindset and leaving them carded. Yeah there's some pretty major likeness issues, especially old Dennis Nedry, but I still like them, and I love the rubbery, scaly feel of some of the dinos. Thanks so much Wesley, glad you enjoyed!
🙌🙌🙌 one of the best collections I ever seen..... damn, the Ghostbusters, Super Power and TMNT collections are my sweet spot, couldn't find enough insulin for myself (LMAO) 17:41 uh oh, better close your display shelf, I think I hear a vacuum cleaner coming... (Lol, I just couldn't resist saying that, radical MM ya got! Not easy to find them with those complete tiny figures and accessories) 26:05 I remembered those hanging at the malls ceiling at the kids section, aah memories...

Awesome collection tour video! Love seeing all the lines I don't collect like, Crash Dummies, Mighty Max & RIng Raiders. The TMNT store hanger is so cool! Great pick up. The Technodrome playset is definitely worthy of giving up a nut for lol. I just got my first Toxic Crusaders and I'm hooked. They look good all displayed together. The VHS section is a clean setup too. I'm a huge wrestling fan as well and remember seeing all those WWF events on pay per view. Pop in your copy of Survivor Series 1994 and you'll see a young SoCal Shaolin sitting a few rows behind Vince McMahon & Gorrilla Monsoon. I've been wanting to do a tour video myself for years. Hopefully I can get my room together and bust one out later this year. You've inspired me. Your room already looks great. Looking forward to seeing what you do with it.
I appreciate that SoCal! Hell yeah Toxic Crusaders are great. To me, the figures have enough appeal without needing the nostalgic connection, with those wicked sculpts and colours. No way!! That's so crazy, I'm totally going to have to throw the tape into the VCR and check that out. I went to some indie shows here that featured WWF talent but attending a 90s WWF PPV live would have been insane as a kid! Do it mate, I'd love to see a detailed looking around your collection room! Thanks heaps dude! Yeah the VHS rewinder was new to me too, I'm not sure if it's a relic from a video store or a VHS enthusiast back in the day.
This comment makes me feel old lol we had a rewinder growing up. They were significantly faster and more efficient for rewinding tapes and increased the longevity of your tapes.
That's some fancy technology to have in the home back in the day, I thought only video stores had these!😮
I've had a lot of these. I had a lot of those Crash Test Dummies. I loved those. I totally destroyed them though obviously.
I often wonder where my childhood action figures are nowadays🤔... not my Crash Dummies though, they got smashed up in the line of duty💥🫡🤣
Mate another episode loved seeing an update on your room, it’s look incredible and I love how each toyline is put in their Own area while shining the light of other toy favorites, the vhs 📼 stand is Incedible and I would like to try and a peg stand for my carded figures too 😎👌🏻great job Scott and can’t wait to see how the lighting turns out in the cambinets

You are the only other person ive ever seen who likes ring raiders wish Istill had mine ive found a few but I used to have the whole line it was an achievement as a kid unfortunately I lost most of them my skull squadron suffered the worst
Nice to see someone else appreciates Ring Raiders! I'm not sure what got me into them as a kid, but I loved them, especially the Skull Squadron, I thought they were really cool. No way, the whole line?! That was my dream as a kid!

With LED technologies versatility u would not have to worry about pulling the toys, just slap a few strips and run the cord through a drilled hole in back!

Great video and collection Scott! Do you know your carded ray filet that you want to open is the first release and non colour changing one? The loose faded is one of the color changing variants ( that’s why it’s faded ) and there’s atleast 2 colour variants
Hey Jonathan! Yeah I do mate, I spotted on the bio card that it doesn't show the colour changing feature, but I think he'll pop more on the shelf once loose. That version with the blue/green and yellow is definitely my personal favourite. Thanks for the kind words and info!

I really appreciate that dude!! Yeah Mighty Max is tricky, but the way I see it there is too much cool detail inside not to display them open. The double width cabinets are from an Australian retailer called Fantastic Furniture, it's the Gallery cabinet. Thanks again for the kind words mate!

Displaying MIMPS in a jar looks cool but id be concerned about colour bleed. Also do you mind at all that the Playmates reissues of TMNT figures are likely to heavily devalue the vintage originals?.
Yeah that's a good point, I'm definitely keen to get them out and display them all in rows when I can find a nice little shelving set-up for them. With that said, when I found them they had been mixed up in a bag for 20-30 years so there might already be a bit of colour bleed. My biggest concern with the re-issues is accessories getting passed off as vintage. I still have a lot of vintage figures I am chasing, so I honestly wouldn't mind the values coming down as long as I can trust that what I'm picking up is vintage. It's a fair concern though.
I used to collect vintage TMNT but stopped a year ago due to the reissues, if you buy now you risk a big price drop if a reissue is released, better to wait till the market stabalises or buy a reissue if vintage doesnt bother the buyer. Mutagen Man is a good eg, despite his reissue being rare in Europe and not including most accessories it has caused vintage figures desirability to drop a lot on ebay and prices fall. Its not about profiteering, its just about not overpaying in todays volatile market.
It’s not easy to get the supernaturals complete I only have eagle and snake bite and the blue ghostling

What are those clear bases pegged into the feet of the vintage ninja turtles?
They're called Star Stands, they're meant for Kenner figures, but they work pretty well with the turtles!
Where did you get those display cases for your awesome collection?
The narrow ones are detolfs from IKEA and the double width ones are from a company here in Australia called Fantastic Furniture, it's the Gallery display. Hope this helps!

I saw some James Bond Jr. toys. What is your view on these as they do not seem to get a lot of love?
I only vaguely remember the animated series, so I don't have a big nostalgic connection to James Bond Jr, but the toys look cool and I really love those bright cardbacks, so where I see them going cheap, I pick them up. Hopefully more in 2024!

Haha I hear you, I'm always trying to find bargains! I recommend toy fairs if you have any in your area, generally you'll be able to negotiate better deals there than eBay, and buying bulk lots is also a good way to go. Hope that helps!
Very nice setup. Have some advice on the glass displays U can not C UR MOSC carded toys U could use those plastic suction n hang on the cards that do not have puched hole insert so that he b shown bc U can no C em all behind the loose figures. Damn U Aussie Toy catz need mo Thundercats!
Yeah I agree, I'm not a fan of how the tiered loose figure stands obscure the carded figures at the back, but I'm planning to install a peg board with hooks so I can hang the carded figures which will showcase them much better. Suction cup hooks are great idea to elevate the MOCs that stay in the cabinets! Haha I definitely appreciate the Thundercats toy line but I didn't grow up with them, so I don't have that nostalgic connection.
