Quad barrel air cannon video: • Quad Barrel Air Cannon...
This build was one of the three I prototyped during Mark Rober's Creative Engineering class (check out my review and get a discount code here: • Things I Learned: Mark... ). Is it ridiculous and completely impractical? Yes. Was it fun to build, test, and shoot a video for? Also yes. Usefulness is overrated.
Using an Arduino Nano and a simple custom circuit board, I was able to hijack the signal from a Staples Easy Button to control a solenoid valve. An air compressor, small reservoir, fake potted plant, and a water flosser tip later and you have a disguised water sprayer sure to feel right at home on a minimalist's desk.
Enjoy watching me spray myself in the face as I recreate my rendition of the awful TV informercials of the 90s. No I did not get the 1-800 number or website listed, so please don't try calling or visiting them.
I realize this is not a how-to/build video and while I don't currently have plans to make one since this is a terrible product, I will include links to the parts I used below in case you want to recreate something similar and understand what I've done to create the Focus Flower from the video. If you watch my prior video on How To Make A Quad-Barrel Air Cannon ( • How to Make a Quad-Bar... ), you'll understand generally what's being done... just add a water reservoir after the solenoid valve.

Thanks! I finally took the plunge after so long. I'll tell ya, it's funny coming across dialogue I write for my videos that I just can't pronounce properly with the braces on. I end up doing tons of extra takes at first attempting to say the words, only to realize it will never work and I have to change the script. 😆
