I recently have started a project in university related to make up industry and man oh man, I am just extremely excited that I have found Scott's youtube
The Amazing Kevin Aucoin did it with his books "making faces" and "the Art of makeup". And now you in 2021 is doing so in CZcams. There are many great makeup artists but you and Kevin Aucoin just worked magic. Greatest your work is Amazing!. Just love it...... is more than just makeup is Art, the face becomes your canvas and your creations are just exquisite
@@deathbeforedecaf7755 if you think a department store employee can do better than what Scott Barnes creates now after years of experience, YOU ARE DELUDED …the man is a talent.
I'm flashing back to my great grandmother I mentioned is going to be 100 this year! All the photos we went through ❤ and her side of the family being in vaudeville! This is so exciting!
God bless her!!! I was and so were my kids, LUCKY enough to know very well my great grandmother and to my kids their GREAT GREAT grandmother!!! ❤ So rare is this experience!
I love 20's, in these years a revolution began, the emancipation of women, tan fashion for Coco Chanel case and first mandatory Guerlain stick lipstick . My favourite icons- Josephine Baker, Clara Bow, Coco Chanel, Maximilian Factorowicz and Helena Rubinstein.
Scott Barnes is in a class by himself and we all know this. Mario and MMMMitchell and Charles are good with their makeup, but do they have the hands that Scott has? No, they don't. They have much to learn from Scott, but, since only Scott has the touch, that can't be given to any one else to use in their work. They will never reach Scott's level. Look at how Scott is presenting himself and his cosmetic line. Have you ever seen anything so engaging as this time travel series? It places his products in my heart, not my head, and I will own them, a bit at a time. I will own them due to the emotional connection that Scott creates. Look at how gentle Scott is with the makeup. It's elegant and classy. It's not drag-queen bold, it's luxury artistry that no one can duplicate. Scott, if you read this, know that we love what you and Frank do. No one can come close to you and no one ever will. You are the epitome of class.
Cupid’s bow lip is the shape of the bow a Cupid angel would carry around similar to a capital letter M with the legs stretched out a bit. Btw I am living for this channel and the time travel. Scott is giving us Master class as usual. Thanks Scott.
LOVE THIS TRAVEL TIME WE HAVE EMBARKED ON... THIS JOURNEY OF MAKE-UP WITH YOU SCOTT IS AMAZING... CAN'T WAIT TO SEE THE 30'S AND SO ON... THANK YOU !!! YOU'RE A MAKE-UP VISIONARY!!! 💋XOXO💋
I'm mindblown!!!! After binge watching jlo youtube and then found tati... ended up here making me so happy!! Learning from you through timetravel evoke so much creativity in me!! You inspire me to start to PAINT my face!!! I wasn't good at drawing or painting...also never learn makeup... but now... i'm gonna start PLAYING with colors!!! Love from Taiwan!!! So much gratitude for you,, dear Scott Barnes!! True PLAYFUL legend!! Love!
Ok this look took my breath away!! Her lips at the very end ❤❤❤ Personally I loveeee the dark smokiness of her eyes! I have been ridiculed, laughed at and told that I wore too much makeup since I was 16 im 56 now, Makeup has always been my passion and to watch you transform Laken was magical !!! Thank you for contributing to my obsession with your incredible History classes !

Thoroughly modern STUNNER!!!! OOOOF!!!! So good it hurts. Love this one.
miss laken transforming. When Zelda Sayre Fitzgerald was married at the Biltmore. The other women took her shopping, the Paget suit was the style. But, she went for ornate sexy dresses, morphed into the flapper. I can remember woman who passed away that I knew fretted over their eyebrows, after decades of beauty defined by Hollywood's starlets, they did not grow back. Forever trying to find that brow pencil. Great video! I just adore this. Lynn
I love this series! A makeup master giving everyone a history lesson! Showing the kids nothing is really new in makeup, it’s all just recycled trends that come and go. Can’t wait for the next episode!
I had a great-aunt who did the shaved brows thing for decades, and they never grew back right. As she got older and shakier, it got harder to shave, so she had these little nubbies. She still painted for the gods until she died at age 90-something, though, lol. Flappers were a special breed of pioneers, bless 'em 😄
This girl has an amazing face!!! Perfectly perportioned and amazing for makeup. She could transform into anything! I also love the banter, she's not just a model sitting there looking pretty. She clearly researched the decades. Yall casted the perfect person for this!!!
I never realized that scott barnes was part of erika jayne's glam squad until I watched RHOBH reruns on Hulu yesterday. Now I know why her makeup is always flawless.

Scott!! You are such a pleasure to watch and your voice is just devine, soft with a touch of smooth aged whisky. If you told me to wear a parrot on my head... I would do it and wouldn’t even think twice ha ha. 🥰🥰
I can’t believe I just found this series. I loooooove historical accounts and this is everything!!!! I dressed up exactly like this for a 20s party two years ago now and I never had so much fun. The compliments kept coming too, which I did not expect at all. Thank you, Mr Barnes!!!! You are a true artist. 💜
Thanks for connecting the dots of history... King Tut's tomb inspired Art Deco. Amelia Earhart inspired transatlantic travel. The history lessons make the looks make sense.
Bought 62 & 63 to try out before I bought the whole collection. I have a f-ton of brushes. I can donate all of them and just keep Scott’s. These brushes are that phenomenal! It is crazy the quality of these brushes. Worth every penny!
SCOTT!!! I LOVE YOUR HAIR LIKE THIS! The beard, your outfit, glasses.. ALL OF IT! You look fantastic!!! This is such a treat to watch, and learn how to create historical beauty with today’s amazing makeup!! Thank you for doing these! So so so fun!! 💄💋👄👯👠🎩🪶🎨🚬📿💝
Honestly, I don't know where to start... This was so fun to watch and I love the makeup and history lesson + the interaction of you and your beautiful model. You compliment each other! Your eyeshadow expertise is amazing 💜
I am so continually impressed not just with Scott’s products and talent but with who he is as a person. He is a good guy who makes everyone feel beautiful...how much better does it get than that? I am so glad he exists.
Thank you both so much for all the wonderful information that you've given about the twenties there's information I forgot all about and I've read about in the past. You sparked my interest kept me captivated I enjoyed every moment your model is lovely and she's a good sidekick to you work well together. Your craft is beyond and above expectations thank you so much for bringing a little bit of trivia into our lives and I should enjoy the last one to till another time Chow
I had to re-watch this just to comment. This series is brilliant. I love that you interject history that people wouldn't normally correlate with the style and makeup into the discussion. Miss Lakin is beautiful and smart and the two of you relate to each other so warmly, like you're friends and not just model and artist. Please keep going with this, I've watched them all so far and am looking forward to swimming through the quantum world with you guys. ☺♥☺
Scott this series is too Fabulous and toooo FUN! You are killin' it! I hope you do a Cotton Club homage for the 30's. That movie has such great music & Diane Lane & Lonette McKee are Stunning!!!!
“It’s kind of like building a house and putting up the windows before the walls are in...” THANK YOU! I have never understood the trend of eye makeup before all else. I like preparing the canvas of my face prior to starting eye makeup, potential fallout be damned. After all, this is why God invented fluffy brushes and powder. Beautiful look and using my favorite color palette.
I have pictures of my Grandmother when she was a flapper. She shaved her brows for as long as I can remember.

He’s no where near Kevyn Aucoin. Nothing about Scott Barnes is special or innovative. A girl at the MAC counter can do what he’s doing lmao
