There's nothing that could have prepared me for the plot twist of this movie. It really took a dark toll
What was the plot twist? The guy being a killer? Kinda obvious once she ran into him again and we heard everything about the beauty water and then it just kinda confirmed when she didn’t see him in pictures

Oh you know that is not enough... for the average person. Romantic love is a different thing. Most people are a slave to it.
And "unconditionally" always bothers me. When I was young my mom would say that so I'd retort, you'd still love me after

The real heroes are the parents. Well @evie, that’s itos stuff for you
The manga is a lot like the American 80-90's CREEPSHOW series or modern Black Mirror
But, it's a great metaphor for what goid parents do for their children.
So let me get this right, Yae-ji became rich and famous, but did nothing to help her parents, especially after all that they've done for her, and what she put them through.
Why is flesh so expensive anyway? I'm pretty sure a lot of overweight people would gladly line up to have some extra flesh removed for free, if not for cheap if you consider the cost of the product.
I mean the people who made the beauty water need to line their pockets somehow
In the webtoon is because flesh needs to be compatible with the user, any flesh won't do. That's why when she noticed her parents flesh were compatible with her (since they are family) they become so precious to her (as flesh hosts). The webtoon is even more gruesome and doesn't have this inconsistencies. Ji-hoon starts to hunt girls for her flesh because beauty water isn't permanent and bits of the skin of the users starts to fall off (pretty much like Ye Ji illusion) so besides his sadism he needed that flex to maintain his new life
You ppl took this animation way too seriously

The only thing that haunts me is the parent's love for their daughter. How they sacrificed themselves to the bone (literally) for her and they're treated so badly. I've read the webtoon* and it devastates me.
Serves them right. The role of a parent is to raise you in a way that you don’t only get the love and acceptance from those who brought you to life, but to also know when to be tough and give you the tools to face hardships. Something they were literally unable to provide.
Sounds mean, but being a good parent doesn’t mean being soft all the time. That’s how your kid ends up being bullied.
Because those kind of parents tend to be overly protective and loving they just raise weak and harmless kids.
And being harmless is the most useless and dangerous thing a person can ever be.
Even evil people rank higher than that.
@@oOSilverZackOo Yes, I know what you mean because the kid's nature reflects their parenting. Regardless, it still makes me sad to know some parents are not appreciated by their children.
