I love how bt sports are thinking out the box and interviewing the refs and taking a different approach to the other channels
Great comment. They are doing a great job. Really refreshing the boxing content for us fans. Top draw
It Was All A Dream thankyou and yes that’s true it’s nice to see something fresh and new
I agree
Sky sports boxing coverage has gone stale the last couple of years

How can anyone argue with a background like that, this guy clearly knows his stuff

Agree. Professional ref.
I finally now know where the saying “don’t count him out.” Comes from.
Hmm
Same with "have someone in your corner", "hitting below the belt", "don't let your guard down", "saved by the bell", "square off", "throwing someone's hat in the ring", "throwing in the towel", "punching above one's weight".... Apparently a lot of phrases come from boxing
No Yes I'm guessing boxing used to be so much more popular in the 60s-70s and the phrases just stayed in the English language

Trauma doesn't necessarily have to be life threatening it can also be something simple as a bruise.
And let's not forget it's because of him we actually have this second fight
Brandon Garcia there would of been a rematch clause..
Bob Carter he was the contender... I think if wilder won there would be no rematch. Fury would have to work his way up again.
Let's not forget we have this fight because the fighters will make more in this fight than any other fight apart from joshua maybe
We have this fight again because of a dodgy decision
Remember Richard Steele stopped the Tyson vs. Ruddock prematurely in their 1st fight. It was that reason why they had the rematch.

Really cool hearing Jack's perspective; seems like a solid dude.
I respect the hell out of him, he’s a strict ref, but that’s what boxing needs, I love when he refs, he’s great at it!
stated PERFECTLY!!!!
We need honest, intelligent and unbiased guys like Jack doing the boxing JUDGING, too. The refs are fine, it's the judges where the problem lies.
He’s a wild card. Definitely not “great” lmao
@Brendan Schaub what??
Hes a good ref but he took the Logan paul vs. Ksi fight way to seriously like when McGregor faught Mayweather Byrd was relaxed with calling penalties on mcgregor but when logan pushed someone who was hugging his legs he got a 2 point deduction the correct call is 1 point deduction and give ksi his knockdown that he missed
They should interview each judge and make it mandatory after a fight to explain their scoring. That way, they will be held more accountable in the future.
Like American Idol 😁😂😁

WorldInFlamesAgain pro boxing isn’t scored by punches landed its by effective punches. It could be one big one

@Jordan Barclay every body but the ref and Tyson Fury himself thought it was over, but him explaining the leg and foot being up and Fury looking at him as he approached being the reason he didn't wave it off was interesting to hear.
@@johnh8546 basically the ref saw all the signs of a sentient fighter, and didn’t wave it off, but if Tyson’s eyes were glazed over, his leg down, and struggling to sit up, he would’ve waved it off.
@@mx_nana_banana maybe, he said give a champ the benefit of the doubt!
A ref shouldn’t think he is the rule book. A ref should follow the rule book and treat every fighter equal.
When Fury went down, and being the away fighter, I thought the referee would wave it off right away. Quite rightly he gave him a count. I remember exclaiming, ‘If ANYBODY can get up, it’s Fury!’

Actually in most championship fights if someone is up by a lot of points, the fighter should be giving a chance to get back into the fight.
Unmasking Fools ya hopefully ref will give same chance to both fighters again
Just like the ref waved off the fight with the resent fight with Ryan Garcia the guy fell for one second and stopped the fight lol
Actually it was a horrible decision. A ko isnt supposed to get a count because thats a guaranteed concussion. Fury has openly admitted he was unconscious. Its the refs job to protect fighters. Had fury gotten hit hard again, he could have likely died. The ref sitting here saying he knew fury wasnt out while fury already admitted he was. I honestly believe Tyson Fury is a boxing legend. We will only truly appreciate his brilliance when he retires. Legendary boxing skills.
This refs insight is excellent.
Tyson Fury is way overrated, he's got skills, no doubt, but I can mention right off the bat, 7 heavyweights of the Golden era of Boxing who were way better than him, here we go: Muhammad Ali, Ron Lyle, George Foreman, Joe Frazier, Larry Holmes, Jimmy Young, and last but not least, Ken Norton.
@@raulcitraro My friend if only we could pit boxing legends of the past against the present crop. Unfortunately we can't do that and so we won't know for certain which heavyweight boxer is "the best ever". That being said, out of the current crop of heavyweights Tyson Fury is the most skilled. Deyonte Wilder is the hardest hitting single punch heavyweight and Joshua is somewhere inbetween.
@@raulcitraro I luv all these legends but they couldn't handle the footwork and cardio of a man that size...athletes of the modern era are on a higher level of competition than the pioneers
