  • On March 12, 2024, we took a ride up to the Canadian Pacific Kansas City's Moosehead Subdivision to photograph both the westbound Job 121 and the eastbound Job 120. Despite beating us to Greenville, we were able to catch up with the 121 at Long Pond as they approached Jackman, with a pair of six axle EMD's up front. They would park at the west end of the siding in Jackman, and after a few hours, a late 120 finally arrived at the VACIS to begin scanning through customs. With a trio of units, the two trailing being EMD's also, they would have a much longer train than the counterpart. The 120 would stop at the east end of Jackman siding to meet with customs, which would give us time to watch the Canadians rocket out of Jackman to continue towards Montreal. After a short wait, we would chase the 120 back to Greenville before calling it a day. The merger was on full display on this day, with the medley of CP red and KCS belle in both lashups. Hope you enjoy!
