Not sure if you know about the RNB Battery pack for the Vanquish? It is a rechargeable that takes the place of the 4AA's I am not sure how many hours of use. But with that and an extra set of AA's set aside in the car you will never have to leave for awhile. I have one and it has been 5yrs now and no problems. Heads Up when it runs out of juice you will not know until the detector shuts off. You guys were on a good hunt too.. Happy Hunting. Peace
