i have an Aquis and i feel it looks the best amongst the 3 on this video. The tapering of the bracelet is amazing and i like how the polished areas of the bracelet are on the outer/side links compared to the traditional center links. Its also not that thick and doesn't weigh as much. I personally dont like how the seamaster looks hence why i chose a Planet Ocean when i decided to get an Omega. Best bang for me is the Oris Aquis :D

I went with the oris. Best looking and priced right. As far as the power reserve the 38 is sufficient for me. Plus i love the fact that they are still independently owned.

Yesterday I hit a big milestone in my life and I treated myself to my grail watch in celebration. I picked up the Omega Seamaster ceramic 300m with the blue dial. After doing a lot of homework, I kept finding myself coming back to the seamaster. Several videos on this channel really went a long way towards helping me pull the trigger, so thank you. I couldn't be more excited!

I went for the Aquis - love the style and build quality, and the Sellita movement is accurate, well proven and cheaper to service... I'd love a Omega but would begrudge the high maintenance cost & be worried about wearing it & potentially damaging it. My Oris is a tank that I wear all the time.

Love the Aquis. I own one and it has changed my views on what a watch should look like for under 6k. I really want a Tudor BB ETA version, but looking at the specs, I may buy another Oris, maybe a Divers 65, and pocket the extra 2k.

  • @simonyu8838

Of the three, I'd go for the Oris. It has the best looks while still having the dive watch functionality. I had thought about getting a Seamaster 300 but was on the fence because of the helium escape valve and the wave pattern on the dial. I think the pattern is really well done and makes for a more interesting dial than most but I'm not really a huge water person. I also wasn't sure I really needed another diver even if a Seamaster would be my first luxury one. And then I saw your video where Courtney called the Seamaster ugly and that killed it.

Hi Mr Baldassarre, firstly may I say I absolutely adore your channel, you look at all price ranges and never look down on cheaper watches.
I am not in the league of expensive luxury watches however, I have had a couple of King Turtles, Three Omega seamasters , including the 90s bond, 90s white face GMT, and one that I wish I had never sold, the bond style black dial titanium Seamaster, sadly I lost my best friend recently however he left me his Oris Tt1, (Black dial on Bracelet), although I of course cannot compare the watches on this video, they are within reason fairly close, I am clueless when it comes to movements and their capabilities, however I do find the Oris is an extraordinarily well finished watch, it feels like silk on the wrist and everything feels of super quality, the Omega's were beautiful and the bracelets almost perfect, however I actually found sligh QC issues with dust spots and even a tiny hair on the dial, sadly and last of all the Seiko's all had bezel alignment issues and chapter ring issues, for me although I am sure 20 years later thing of QC issues have improved, I would go with the Oris, great value, more unique and better all round.
Again thank for your excellent work, I have a tiny channel of my own and even though it's a hobby only I love it.
    Kind regards Nick

All very good options Teddy for the different price points and a well balanced review of each model. If I was in the market for (yet) another diver I think it would be the new Cherry Red dial ORIS, lI's also it shares the same Sellita SW200 movement on which a quite a few ORS models are based. From my experience this movement is not revolutionary or perfect but service should not cost the owner a major organ and more options that will be able to get parts to service them. A well proven accurate reliable work horse of a movement. Of these 3 watches reviewed here the ORIS in blue takes the top step of the podium for price, finish and as a complete watch. If the Seamaster 300M Great White was part of this threesome that may well have nabbed the gold medal due to price and having a display case back to see that wonderfully finished movement in action.

As an independent, I would go for the Oris Aquis. The Seiko is just a bit rough. The Omega is alot more money. So I would definitely go for a lightly used Oris. Then you are competing directly in price with the Seiko, and you're miles ahead in Specs. If the Omega is your grail watch, then that's great too. I think the Oris is kind of Rolex style aswell. It shares many design cues. But whatever you choose, love your watch, and respect other people's watch choices.

@@jaydenk5281 Do your research, go down to some stores and try them on. There are great watches for every taste and budget but Most importantly, buy the watch YOU like. My taste in watches have changed with time over the years along with my budget. My favorite watch is not my most expensive watch, but it is fun to acquire over time some nice (to me) watches. I used to think Rolex was the only watch I would ever want but after owning three (sub, milgauss, and explorer 2) I sold them to purchase my wife's wedding ring and realized I didn't miss them. I now have an Oris Aquis, Omega seamaster 300 Spectre, Omega seamaster 300 professional white dial, Glycine combat sub,Glycine Airman double twelve, and a Casio digital. I love them all and hey range from $50 to multi thousand per watch. Get lost in the hobby and have fun learning about watches and saving up for your grail. Don't be afraid to make mistakes (we all do)

One thing I don’t care for with the Seamaster’s outer AR coating is its tendency to pick up scratches (at least, mine has). It’s not terrible and only really shows at certain angles, but it’s just annoying knowing they’re there.

I have two Skx seiko’s, I love them. I did mod them with ceramic bezels and better bracelet’s and saphire cristles Both hold up under water. I also have a Omega planet ocean. It is so so with how it runs not as accurate as the seiko’s. I have a Oris Aquis in 39.5 in green dial and bezel. The Oris gets the most wrist time as it runs better in keeping time. I DO love them all and do not regret buying any of them. I will say that my Tissot Seastar gen two runs better than all of the others, and, it does very well at 33 ft under water.
