The propane conversion probably offers fewer orifice sizes to jet the gas. Those happened to me on a Bosch range. It came as nat gas with 4 different burner ranges, the propane “conversion “ kit only had two sizes of jetting.
Any chance you are able to add a segment on using the self cleaning function? Now where can I find detailed info. When I select self clean mode there are two options; with reminder and no reminder. Not sure what this means - no matter which one I select, the control panel reverts back to the main menu screen. Thank you!
I’m not aware a Gaggenau Range although Bosch, Gaggenau and Thermador are all owned by BSH. So Thermador I could do! I no longer sell Dacor but I did really like the features of their 48 Inch Range with the auxiliary Steam Oven.
Would you think you could use this 'speed oven' as your full time microwave oven? I would love to have 1 less appliance - but we do use the microwave occasionally. Also - is the main oven as big as the Wolf or Monogram main oven? I can't find internal dimensions.
On the microwave wave question, 100% yes. It’s pretty limited in terms of microwave programs but I think it does a great job for people like me who mostly time cook or do little 30 second jabs. On the oven question, no the main oven is relatively small when compared to the Wolf and especially the Monogram. The smaller size will probably give it a pretty decent performance advantage though. Preheating, maintaining temperature and heat/air distribution during convection and non convection coming modes will probably be superior to the other two. Think quality over quantity when comparing oven size. We Americans have a difficult time understanding this for some reason. 😁
Have you tried contacting Miele parts to buy the burner orifices from the LP version? They don’t have a kit to support the conversion but I bet you could buy them individually.
Thank you, yes, it sounds like it would be a very involved exercise to buy the individual parts and the significant amount of time to do the replacement as well.
Not that I’m aware of. I think I once heard about a company considering this but I don’t believe it ever materialized. I don’t understand why they don’t build hybrid tops… 4 Induction zones with 4 Gas burners. There a few lesser known companies that do this but none of the major players. Thermador’s Grand series offers two induction zones with 4 or 6 gas burners though.
What are the differences between the handle and software? I’m trying to decide between the 1956-2 and 1956-3. Thanks! Edit: just saw the part about the rounded handles. How about the software? It looks like 3d gen has Wi-Fi capability. Does 2d gen?
The lack of a separate button to light the gas surprised me

Thank you for your review! I’m currently considering this Miele, a 48” Wolf but any chance you could review the Dacor and Gaggenau?

Has anyone been able to find a LP conversion kit for these Miele 48 ranges? I'm struggling to find one after buying a natural gas version. Thank you!
According to Miele they don’t offer a conversion.

Are there dual fuel ranges that are “opposite?” For example, and induction cooktop and a gas oven?

@@appliancesexplained did you review the Thermador Grand ? and how does it compare to Miele and Wolf?
What's new in the GEN-3 that wasn't included in the 2nd gen.. for instance 1956-2 ?
The noticeable differences are in the handle design, the software and the logo.
@@appliancesexplained Thanks. I have the gen 2 on order and should be arriving in a couple weeks.
Let us know what you think after you’ve had some time to break it in. 😉

The 2nd Gen Does not have Wifi.
Is anyone doing a 48” induction range yet other than Fulgor?
AGA Has a couple but I’m pretty sure they’re just 43 inches with fillers. 😄
