Definitely, that is why I always say focus on what you love that is a good price now. And if you are lucky the prices jump up and if not you still love the figures.

What a lovely video, nice to see some of the jewels of your collection in one video, would love to see a similar video showing off the best of your other collections (comics, ziggy etc) . Recently bought the DVD of the Melissa McCarthy film "Can you ever forgive me?" it's about a writer who forges famous authors letters and sells them to book stores around New York, great film, and all the independent book stores reminded me of you and your store.
Oh I have not heard of that movie, I might have to check it out. Sounds kinda fun. Watched the trailer, I might have to watch it today haha. The movie looks right at home with my New York shop. I had so much fun with this video and I think its fun to watch that I most definitely want to do more videos like this highlighting parts of my other collections this way.

I like this video a lot! I have been trying to get my hands on the Tenya Pop for a while and the price is so high. I didn’t even know the Ochaco masked was up that high! Wow..I got into collecting pops late..I wish i started earlier.
I am sure there will be pops that come out today that you can get cheap that would be worth a lot in the future. Its never too late to start collecting, it just means certain older ones are out of your reach for now. Best to focus on what you can get so you have fun collecting and not worry so much about what you missed.

Yeah I figured it was worth at least double what I paid in 2015 and probably my most valuable pop. I would love to own more prototypes. If I ever have a large income I will start adding a few choice ones into my collection.

How do you know if they're a chase edition? What does that mean?
Some pops come with a chase in the cases so the case would have 5 common pops then 1 chase version. The older chases they would do 1 in 36 pops so those are rarer and more expensive usually. The chase versions will have a little sticker that says chase and those usually get snatched up instantly by anyone browsing Pops.

I have heard you mention gluing loose sides, etc...can you explain how and what product you use.
I use a PH neutral glue so it does not damage the plastic or cardboard long term here is an affiliate link to the type of glue I use amzn.to/2X24fBJ I place glue on the little flap then put the box together, wipe off any glue that oozes out if I put too much on with a damp cloth, then I dry it properly then I use painters or masking tape to tape the outside of the seam together and then another piece for the inside of the seam so that it dry properly together.
I will have to make a video on that one day.

haha, well hopefully before you have to buy plane tickets you can slowly find a few of the ones you want for a great price. I was lucky on Krusty I got him in a ebay lot a few years ago for $7 a pop. I was not even upset that his box was damaged, I was just thrilled to have him. I need to track down the rest, but the prices have shot up so high.
I got the danyres and drogon one for $5, but the box was totally destroyed, didn't realise it was worth so much.
Nice, I dont mind a beat up box myself if you can get a sweet pricey pop for a cheap price.

I took down the wall to make this video, it just took me a month to sort, film and edit. Most likely I will rebuild a pop wall again soon. The robots are my store mascot, I had him made in 2006.

Haha I have the original Power Rangers, I probably should have snuck them into the video lol I have a ton more in the $50-$70 range, I was trying to stick near $100+ so I did not make a 5 hour video but a few lower value ones snuck in. He Man and She Ra though, those are big gaping holes in my collection. I really hope I buy a collection with them soon.

I take them out for videos so you can see the pop better, then put them back into their protectors.

Get an idea of what you really want and try to focus a bit. Its too easy to buy everything you like at first site and before you know it you will have a wall of pops that are not all your favorite.

Yeah at the time Battle Damage Deku was $125 and some of the other ones were hard to find so I thought I might as well grab him for $7 from amazon just so I could at least have one from the set lol He was in clearance in a lot of places because no one was buying him.

There’s something about the early figures that just looks better. They recently had a new lineof Simpsons and a few other line and the new ones just don’t look anywhere near as good. I don’t know exactly how to describe it maybe it’s something about they look cuter if that makes sense but another one is The Notorious B.I.G. the original one just looks so much better than the one they came out with recently
To me the newer ones seem to have higher quality but the older ones have more of a sense of the original style. I personally not sure which I like better but I enjoy them both.

Haha Yeah I have a lot of the horror grails, still need a few more though. This one was a lot of work but had fun with it, I plan on making more like it soon.
I dont think it affect retail prices in any way, but being a French speaker its really funny to me to see that the translation on some of the boxes are completely wack. "Figurine en vinyle" is the right translation, which you find on most of your boxes. But then you have :
- "Vinyle booble la tête" - billingual nonsense mess (As if it was written "The Head Branlante Vinyl" in english) on Thor 2012 / Tony Stark 2017 / Ghost Ridder 2012, etc.
- "Chiffre de vinyle", which, wow, they went down on a Google translation rabbit hole for that one. Cause "chiffre" is a translation of one of the meanings of the word "figure" when used in relation to number, like : sales figures -> chiffres de vente... on the Tossakan 2015 / the SDCC Sheldon 2012 / Jessie 2011 / Micheal Jackson 2013 / Butt Head 2013, etc.
and it seems super random too ? like most of the time its the right translation and then a wacky one. idk if this is something that you've seen talked about. tbh im not even into Funko Pop, so i dont know much about it. just got sucked into a youtube rabbit hole. its really interesting though.

There are many reason. A good portion of the pops made from 2012-2014 has less then 10,000 made. Also back then they were not seen as collectibles that had value potential. They were cheap fun toys to collect that you could buy take out of the box and put on your shelf or desk. So many of the original pops were take out of the box and the box tossed. And those that were kept in the box were not put into protectors to keep them pristine etc. So a healthy portion of the pops made from 2012-2014 would be similar to pops that are limited to 2000-4000 today.

Thailand pops depend I think on who wants it, people in Thailand probly buy/sell these regular but in uk/usa they don't sell as fast as Thailand pops are more aimed at culture aspect which some usa/uk people wont get hense why they don't buy them as much unless you know what they represent
