- HOWDY PARDNERS welcome to my new passion project - you read the title right, I have 65 unread BOTM books that have been sitting on my shelves/traveling the country/taking up precious space for YEARS. The spinning wheel of BOTM backlist death picks 5 reads for me every month, and I have to read and choose to keep or donate by the end of that month. Spoiler alert - June is going poorly.

I love challenges like these!
@@alissajoelle5443 woo hoo I just finished part two and it’s even more chaotic! 🤠
you know it’s gonna be a good vid when a “so what happened was” is dropped😂
@@baysreads my people have finally found me 🥲🥲🥲
That pain you were describing sounds like when I pinched my sciatic nerve in my back a few years ago (I was 27 at the time so same. Fairly healthy) It made my whole right leg swell up from hip to ankle and had me crying on the kitchen floor (I have high tolerance of pain too). Those muscle relaxer steroids helped me too. But sadly once you pinch your sciatic nerve it is super easy to pinch again. Glad to know you got better by the end of the video
I've been focusing on my BotM backlist this year too. I've already picked up 25 this year but still have like 42 to go. I'll get there eventually. Good luck with your challenge too!
@@theliterarylawyer5304 25?!?! You are goals!!
Love a reading challenge vlog like this! I also have way too many botm books that I need to get through 😅 excited to see future installments!! 🤗🩷
Yay thank you so much for watching! It's literally been a challenge but I'm so glad to get some of these books off my shelf and read 🤠🖤
I have a long backlog of BOTM and Aardvark books I need to get through! Sometimes the desire for that add-ons or 2 is too strong and they add up with other book purchases lol I created a spinner wheel on my phone with an app, but like the added idea of a certain number and time before reading or donating them. I'll be following along to this series!
I just found your channel. I love challenges like this. I gave The Dating Plan a 3 star. I thought it was okay. ❤
@@alidathebooks806 hi friend and thank you so much for joining me here!! Yes - The Dating Plan was the definition of an ok romance for sure.
This was so much fun and made me want to pick up a thriller 😆 I feel like thrillers are such fast paced reads! I’m so happy I found your channel!
@@cheekychapters stop I’m so happy you’re here 🖤 it’s the perfect season for thrillers imho too - nothing reads quicker at the beach!!
I really enjoy watching wrap ups
Grimm's Puppets by Tom Prater is one of my go-to psychological thriller recommendations (and go-to indie recommendations too). It's set in the 1980s, inspired by some of the Grimm fairytales. Its tagline is: A fairytale ending was never on the cards.... It got me back into reading, and helped me realise I really love the thriller genre.
Say less I'm adding it to the never ending TBR as we speak
Had to subscribed immediately after I saw your channel name! PharmD here too!
@@giovannabetancourt3064 HECK YEAH welcome to the pharmacy! lol
Good job! I want read the one you kept. It's hard to read the title cause of my data speed.
I’m a PharmD who reads too!

I have the same problem😂 so I love the idea of this challenge!
@@noahswenson2046 like on one hand I’m glad I’m clearing the shelves but on the other hand at what cost to my sanity

Question: are you going to allow yourself to DNF if you're not enjoying the book? I say it would make lots of sense, so you could go through the books more quickly😊
@@KYX1994 no spoilers but yes - I’ll be posting part 2 soon and I had a REAL hard time with the June picks lol
@@alexbattles Uuuuh, looking forward to it 😀
I would recommend Daisy Darker by Alice Feeney and The Family Game by Chatherine Sudman
I need to read Daisy Darker! I loved The Family Game and hope she comes out with more thrillers :)
I liked First Lie Wins by Ashley Elston and The Lies I Tell by Julie Clark…pretty sure they were both from botm so you might have them? I thought they did something different for thrillers
I think they both are from BOTM! I've almost picked First Lie Wins many times so maybe I'll snag that one next month :)

WOO HOO thank you for watching!
I like wrap ups to hear thoughts on books, but I don't like watching tbrs

Just finished The Jigsaw Man by Nadine Matheson and currently busy with The Binding Room by the same author. Amazing thillers. Do recommend
I read The Jigsaw Man earlier this year and I didn't quite connect with that one...maybe I'll read The Binding Room for an author second try challenge! :)
@@alexbattles I did it in audio/physical tandem.
