Army conducts 5 days of interview procedure. Which is called SSB. It is the toughest selection board in any services. Army has the most difficult training including intellectual also. Please update with your data sir! Thank you.

@@animeshkmr73 I have seen many SSBs . I am not wrong. I am from Military School and even a graduate of NDA 124 course. Being a cadet of RMS we did have clear advantage over others. On what basis your are saying that I am wrong. Did you know that a lot of candidates get short listed for SSBs which itself makes it to be cumbersome process.
The selection procedure to select An Armed Forces Officers is the most complex and uncertain of 5 days SSB process. I think no other service in the entire world takes a personality test for this long to exhaust the candidate and brings out their competence of the highest order and quality just to select for next stage. Jai hind.

The choice is quite simple if you are from a Developed nation opt for Armed forces and if from a Developing nation opt for Police service unless you want to opt for Military aviation, special forces, or medical services.
You really have no clue. Don't developing nations have enemies ? Dosent india have to deal with the likes of Pakistan, china and Islamists ? Do you think that people should join Police instead of army in such circumstances ?
China has an army of 20 Lakh, Pakistan has an army of 7 lakh. Our army is only 14 Lakh.
The need for police will reduce if citizens will become law abiding, but enemies will continue to stay on our frontiers. Moreover, do you think a developed nation like Luxembourg should have an army ?

Army also has jurisdiction. IPS and Army both of them are responsible to maintain peace and ensure security across India. However, both of them function within the jurisdictions. Army mainly deals with external threat and IPS mainly deals with internal threat but both of them do the entire task with coordination between them.

@@ANS456dghjdd read about AFSPA. Civillian administration comes under Army command in AFSPA areas. In peacetime areaa the entire cantonment board area is protected and managed by army

AFSPA is invoked when a case of militancy or insurgency takes place and the territorial integrity of India is at risk.

Both are prestigious services but In terms of power and exam level i can surely say that army exams are no match to CSE and i am saying this after clearing the SSB twice and getting AIR 33 in AFCAT
and 7 in CDS and now i am preparing for UPSC so i have fair experience of both
