Hey Chris, love these videos and your unique skill set and ability to explain what you're doing. I'd just like to suggest to your editor to look at their sound levels to try and keep it all to a consistent volume as it's a bit jarring at the moment!

Chris, I have learned a lot watching these videos .It would help if you could slow down some of the hammering so we can hear how hard you are hitting the metal, with the video sped up it is difficult to get a feel of how hard you are hitting it .

I think it's fair to say that ... if a shape is formed with a mixture of stretching and shrinking, then there must be neutral contour(s) at the transition between stretched area(s) and shrunk area(s). What I can't quite work out in my mind is what ruleset governs where such contours should lie. For example, does a neutral contour need to lie in a unique plane?
just curious how many hours you have into that panel and or a body. Fantastic job by the way, you are very inspiring.

Yes we have the mid engine tube frame I designed and build here! I will do a video on that!

I do have an airlift for that purpose. The problem is I find it throws off my eye when the work is lifted. It makes it look larger than it really is and Plays tricks on me!
@ I understand, everyone has different ways of judging scale and sighting light lines.
When forming the aluminium panel, how much of it has to touch the wood buck? Is close enough, close enough!
Chris addressed this in an earlier video. I believe he said somewhere around an eighth of an inch/3mm.

I have two suppliers locally who either stock or can order what I need. You may find “Ryerson” having a location near you if you’re stateside. They’re a large outfit.
No music needed but do so if you must; I’d rather hear what the English wheel is doing.
It seems to make a different sound depending on the amount of pressure between the wheel and the dies but difficult to hear through the music.
This may come across a little belittling and its not meant to. I suggest you have a look at Bespoke Coach Works and how he approaches the work, he is a little different to most or rather uses all the different disciples together, with no real loyalty to one style or another. I think you'll find the watching worth the time spent.

i dont see how you have 1000"s hours in a build, when it only takes you 10minutes to build a panel. You should have a whole car built in about 2 hours. im assuming your rate is around $100hr. Ill paypal you $300 (keep the extra for a tip) to build me a car. HAHAHAHA, im only kidding. You make it look easy on video. but as a car builder myself, i truly know all the hours, planning, thinking how youre gonna do the panel in your bed at night. Then trying to shape the panel with hours of going back and fourth between tools and machines and fitting. You do a great job explaining and showing. keep up the good work !
😆 I wondered where this one was going! I had a few people email asking about actual time spent on the tail portion and I would say it takes about 24 hours to get it to the point where I am able to move onto the next mating section… and then there is the welding and finishing!
