Hi and Hugs to Gayle and friends! I am so excited. I went to a book sale at our library over the weekend and on my way out, spied free phone books on a rack. I can not wait to try some techniques with it! (Also found some awesome vintage books - variety of font sizes, neat covers. Time to get to making some journals!). Have a blessed day! I am grateful for a community that shares ideas! OH and so sorry about not getting to spend time with your son and grandkids. My time with my son and his family is very precious to me! Hi Gayle. I love that you use a phone book for your extra paint. I looked in the cupboards in our admin office and found one! I can't believe it. I may need to gelli print, so I have some phone book pages for stack and whack! Thanks for the great idea. I love your videos.

Love the collages. I do think it is fun not to see the reveal until they are all cut out! I’m sorry you did not get to go with your family to the game. But I believe the Lord will provide another time for you all to be together and have that time we mothers need so much. It’s going to be in the 60’s today so I need to get ready to go out and soak up,some sun rays and get my vitamin D😊❤️

I got my mother in laws phone books when she passed. She never threw any away. They are vintage. Now I know what to do with them. Love the idea
These look so great. Now that I will have a dedicated craft room, I will be able to do some messy crafting. I was afraid to in my apartment because I had to craft in my bedroom which had carpet. My new house has no carpet. Yippee!! Can’t wait to do some tea dying, gelli plate painting all of those messy fun things.❤😊
Good morning my dear friend, it’s an overcast dreary start to the day and it’s cold 🥶 out. We got more snow yesterday. No sign of Spring to day that’s for sure. 😢 I will try not to complain too much. I have been blessed with this wonderful new day, so I will just enjoy it. But I will say that the weather at the start of February was so nice, with record highs in temperatures all over the country. An other reason no not to complain is the East Coast of the country has been it with snowfall that has buried the province with tons of snow , more snow than ever recorded before. More snow than they are use to. There is so much that I am grateful for, so no complaints at least not right now.😊
This was another great video. I love watching you create while speaking of your family and things happening in your life. You never cease to amaze me with your artistic talent. I’m so sorry that you didn’t get to see and be with your son and his family but they say everything happens for a reason. I usually bring my daughter home from Manchester, England every May for our yearly visit but this year I am hoping that her work allows her time off in September for her visit. Maybe she will be able to be home to celebrate my birthday in September. She moved there 25 years ago after the death of her beloved brother, Michael. They had a very special and close relationship growing up. It was hard for both of us.

This is the first time, since my early childhood, that I’ve seen someone use a phone book for something other than it was intended - I’ve mentioned before that we used a phone book to keep our collections of German scraps, then got together to swap them.
After I had watched this video, I decided I wanted more, so I went to your channel, and the first thing I saw (after clicking on “oldest”) was your very first video! En masse collection journal flip through. What fun! I had to go back and check cause I didn’t recognize your voice, and thought I had somehow ended up on the wrong channel.
Oh boy! That first video, Siri. 🥴. It took me a few filmings to figure out that I just needed to be myself. 😂. ❤

Happy Monday Morning Gayle! Very creative tags and postcards! This made me wonder why hubby and I never received a phone book in two years living here. My parents were adamant that we have a landline and not just cellphones, so with that thought I would think we would receive phonebooks. Hmmm. Have a delightful day my friend hugzzz💖

Years ago I used to have a stack of old phone books, unfortunately they all didnt make it during our last move.
Its amazing however what we do find as crafters when we are looking for other things is kinda amazing ❤

I have an exercise book full of brayer roll offs that I find hard to use (coz they're so cool). You've encouraged me to get in there and start using them up. Good morning, Gayle! I hope today finds you happy and healthy. It's a sunny but cold morning here. The temperature is only forty degrees at 9:30AM which is cool for North Carolina this time of the year. We already have shrubs that have begun to bloom in this area!
I just found something another CZcamsr did that immediately made me think of you. She had bits and pieces of various masterboards that were sizes she could not use so she scanned them, printed them out and then used them to make new masterboards. The new boards weren't made up of just the scanned items, She used scraps as well. The end result was really nice looking. That seems like a pretty neat way of using up leftover pieces of masterboards rather then just creating something that's a not so practical shape just to be using up scraps. And, I thought of you when I saw what she was doing. I like finding new ideas like this!

Do yourself a favor when your putting post cards together like this or anything and tape some of the edges with a tiny pc of washi to keep them where you need them to stay. I do washi as I lay them down and it takes an extra min or two but it really saves time in the end. Plus we are using up another supply we have hoards of…
