This is exactly what I needed. Thank you! Also, love your bracelets. And thanks for having accurate captions. It makes a huge difference for me (auditory processing disorder) and for people like my niece, who's hard of hearing.
Thank you for the video and the easy explanation. So very simple. Made several for my brother's dog. Wish I had seen your tutorial before I messed up on 5 Bandanas.
Thank you for that great tip about the corners so it gets that point at the bottom. I just started sewing and this is how I learn. My golden is a little bit of a community dog. One of my friends watched him when I was away for a week that turned into almost a month and he is over there this weekend. I used to just tie bandanas around their necks but now I sew them so they go thru the collar that way they don't get lose and fall off.
I watched multiple confusing tutorials before finding this one. Thank you for making one easy to follow without a sped up video or crazy background music ! I’m not super new to machine sewing but when trying new patterns I need easy to follow instructions
Good evening from the Texas Hill Country. I’ve been looking everywhere for sizing on these bandanas. Not as easy to find as you would think. Always enjoy your videos. I like to think I’m an accomplished seamstress but I always learn something watching your videos. Thank you for being so thorough. Hope 3P0 is enjoying his bandanas. What a thoughtful gift.
I love watching your videos. You are so thorough and your methods easy to do and to understand.. I've recently found you here and already made the candy bag pouch. This one I'll be doing next. Can't wait. Thank you so much!!
Thank you for this tutorial. I made several for my pastor's little dog. I was able to hand embroider little targets name on the bandanas also. Off the subject. I love your quilt. Me and my grandmother just finished a sunbonnet sue and sam queen size quilt. Which was all hand done.😁
Thank you SO MUCH for another easy, straightforward how-to video! I’ve watched a couple others on how to make doggie bandanas and they make it way too complicated for my taste. Keep creating and keep sharing! 💕👍🏻👵🏻
I'm a SUPER NEW beginner Sewer (sp? lol) And this looks so easy! Thx so much for this video. It was super simple to follow....going to make some for my fur nieces. Hope they were well received by Threepio!
I have a small business where I actually make dog bandannas. I have had many failed attempts on starting my business up, this is legendary! Thanks so much! Will definitely try!!!! Wow! You definitely deserve 1million + followers
Thank you for the tutorial - just so I am clear, there will be a few inch section of the bandana where your hand went in that will have a row or stitching? So basically there is the quarter of an inch stitching around the outside and then a close edge stitching for a few inches?
Great bracelets! I try to cut my fabric so that it is in the correct direction. Also, I like to make an arc at the neck so that it is not bulky. I also have a concern about bandanas getting caught on something when tied, so I like to use something that releases.
This is such a good video. So much helpful info and tips. I feel like I can actually do this. I've never used a sewing machine before. So this is gonna be fun and interesting. Wish me luck
Hi this is so great to understand but what size square would i need for a 9 week old puppy a friend has asked me to make her a couple thanks his collar size all the way around is only 12 "
Hi! Thank you for this video. I have made several bandannas off this design. Could you offer an insight into how I could add bias trim around the bodice (not neck)? I'm trying to take my bravery of sewing up a notch. ;-)
Did you backstitch at the beginning of the opening? You didn't say it but it looks like you did and I would think that would be necessary there like it was on the other side of the opening.
Good day! Thank you for the tutorial, I am looking to make a bandana for my friend and her new Boston Terrior pup! Sorry if this is a dumb question, but when you go to sew the gap left for your hand, do you do that by hand or with the machine? Many thanks!
I've clicked on the link above, but I can't find the sewing pattern for making a Bandana for my wonderful babies. If you could please help, I would greatly appreciate it.
+Devin Michaels-Bishop There is no written pattern, just a follow along with the video. But you are more then welcome to draw one up. Thanks for asking
+SallyMayBaby I'm not to sure, but try this... take a small square paper napkin, unfold and refold in half to a triangle. Test this size out. If it is too big cut it down a bit until you get the right size. Then you can use that as your pattern. Hope this helps:)
I have a 120 lb Bernese Mountain dog. I start with a 40 inch square for his bandanas. I could probably use a 36 inch square, but I like to have enough to tie without the bandana being tight on his neck. Maximus is broad and beefy and has long legs so he needs a big bandana!
Just made 10 of these to gift to my friends with dogs. This is the most practical of all the bandana patterns and tutorials I looked into. Thx!

thank you for sharing this. I opened my first sewing machine this evening and this was the first thing I made! Turned out beautifully!
I absolutely loved this! You were so thorough and did not ramble! I feel more confident about creating a bandana!

I live your bangles!!! Where did u get them??
Did you backstitch at the beginning of the opening? You didn't say it but it looks like you did and I would think that would be necessary there like it was on the other side of the opening.

Great video😀do you have any dog bandana videos with personalised names ?
So when you stop to make the area for your hand do you cut the thread then start again down some ?
yes stop and start just like a new seam:) thanks for asking

Nice bangles mam.
Is it safe to put beads on dog bandannas?
Nice bandanna. I love your bracelets where on earth did you find such a thing? I love bracelets and would love to wear those.
I found them in a little shop...sorry no longer available!

How big do you think the squares would need to be for a 5 pound dog?
+SallyMayBaby I'm not to sure, but try this... take a small square paper napkin, unfold and refold in half to a triangle. Test this size out. If it is too big cut it down a bit until you get the right size. Then you can use that as your pattern. Hope this helps:)
Thanks, great idea!

Alternate fabric suggestions?
I think you could use anything that you like :) think of all the possibilities
How to service my janome sewing machine
size/templates?
Fun, I’m making a set of 4th July.
I have a 120 lb Bernese Mountain dog. I start with a 40 inch square for his bandanas. I could probably use a 36 inch square, but I like to have enough to tie without the bandana being tight on his neck. Maximus is broad and beefy and has long legs so he needs a big bandana!
Thanks for the information on the larger breed dogs!
Terrilynn E. You are very welcome! Do you have a big dog too?
Kelley Mueller I do not but I own a company called MalaMoose Dog Co and we are looking at expanding our product line to include bandanas!
