Seems kind of foolish to blow a hole in the side of someones ship, then hope they are friendly.
If they had implemented a seal after departure we probably wouldnt be that mad! ^^

"Not one left behind!" Yea that seems like something the Remnant of our species would chant if our homeworld was murderedraped by aliens.

Great Story . A stand alone I would think . After Exfil I imagine the the Mothership eradicated the Interlopers , unless they had IMMEDIATELY De-Camped .

Brilliant last line. I'm enjoying these stories. So nice to see sci-fi stories where the 'human' aren't the weakest slowest race.
Well they basically kidnapped a human and blew a hole in their ship, what did they expect will happen.

Forcefully penetrating an unknown ship, then again forcefully penetrating to kidnap an alien you don't even know if dead or alive?
That's just asking for trouble. At least have some tact and delicacy, for flarks sakes.
While normally a meme regarding the USA, I still feel it fits here. Don't mess with Terrain boats.

Finally, a spot where humans actually win.
I wrote on one of the humans are space orc reddits two very short stories about non terrans trying to reconcile the conflicting ideas of no man left behind and the willing sacrifice (beau geste). The idea that you bring back your comrades no matter what in one story. In the other, one person stays behind willingly to ensure the safety of others. these were about 5 lines apiece.
I do hope this at least gets a few follow up chapters
