Dichotomy, conundrum, inflation, anarchy, fiat (as in fiat money), the word government and democracy and the word investment. It seems that investment used to mean to invest (your time) to nourish, to feed and help grow, ... But now an investment is anything that makes you profit. Words have power and sometimes the meaning of a word changes.
Sometimes definitions are changed on purpose, like with inflation and anarchy.
