Just walked out of the theater. Hollywood is finished and Godzilla Minus One is the film that proved that their days of laundering money through movies are over. I haven't left a movie feeling this way since Star Wars in 77. Pure, brilliant and literally lacking any diversity or inclusion and I loved every second of it. Could care less that it was in Japanese. This story returning to its roots was clever and needed. And finally - is Godzilla a symbol of the West?
Godzilla -1: The Story
Godzilla X Kong: The Spectacle
Love it!
This movie absolutely blew me away! Not only was the Godzilla action sequences incredibly intense and suspenseful while being a spectacle of fun, but the characters they developed in the story were actually enjoyable and well fleshed out. I was enthralled the entire time. It is one of my favourites of the year! Great review, and keep up the great work on creating your awesome content 👍
Thank you for sharing your thoughts and thank you for the kind words!
Garreth Edwards' Godzilla commenced with a powerful start, featuring the talents of Bryan Cranston and Juliette Binoche, exceptional actors who, unfortunately, only graced the film for about the initial 10-15 minutes. Subsequent events became somewhat of a waiting game, with the characters portrayed by Scarlett Witch and Quicksilver failing to contribute compelling elements to the narrative. In contrast to Godzilla Minus One, the final Godzilla action was acceptable but lacked the impactful intensity witnessed in the latter film. Each appearance of Godzilla in Minus One evoked a sense of both anticipation and apprehension, as he wreaked havoc, leaving a lingering aura of fear and dread. This dynamic made audiences eager to witness Godzilla's presence while simultaneously dreading the potential harm to human characters, including the broader Japanese populace, given their recent experiences with the lingering aftermath of war.
You guys are spot on about your assessment.👍
