System Test 8| Annunciator, New Devices, and Expansions!

- Yup! Here's system test 8! With some brand new devices for the system and for my collection, I finally got an annunciator for the system like I've wanted, and I did a few expansions. I also re-wired the system so almost everything in the system has changed, even backbox height, but you'll have to wait and see! Enjoy! Let me know what you think of the system!

Neat. That system resets pretty fast. The MS-9200UD I tested a couple weeks ago took forever to reset.

addressable Systems are known to take a while to reset. The more devices you have on a loop longer it takes.
That is very true.
You should use wire mold for the whole system and if you can, flush mounting would be very nice.
+Balarms7 Alright, if you listened, I am in the process of making the whole system in wire mold except for downstairs because my mom doesn't want to down there. Also I'm never going to flush mount things because my parents would kill me and it would be nearly impossible since all the walls are finished. I also rarely take advice from strangers

Is that panel plugged in to the wall or battery operated? If it is plugged in, did you make the power cord (i.e cut an extension cord)?
+Crisp Cuts Landscaping All fire alarm control panels run off 120VAC or 277VAC. Mine also has a battery backup feature that most other panels have too. I bought a precut extension cord with a ground at Home Depot, but you can just cut the plug off an ordinary extension cord as well and it'll do the same thing
the system sensor spectralert sounds like a EST genesis
What's the new stuff
Did you buy that key station new in box? If so did it come with the key? I want to buy one labeled "new in sealed box" but it does not mention anything about a key. I know the keys are hard to come by.
+Dave Got it used without key. I found a bunch of A keys for $2 a piece, but who knows where that listing is now

I'm surprised that the ANN 80 works with the MS-5
Those panels are compatible with the ANN-80’s. That’s one of the key features.
MS-5UD, and the entire conventional UD series.
I have a couple EST 202-7A-001 strobes and they are indeed very noisy

oh... it looked like since you were changing out all the stuff, well i wish MY family were that safe, sadly my entire house is protected by ionization smoke alarms, and 1 fire extinguisher, you are nice and safe, i envy that
