Chinese New Year in Boston from the early days. Rare video from my old VHS tape. Lion dance and huge amount of firecrackers which are the classic traditional long ones. Includes awesome video from the late 90's and year 2000 (when we had the year of the dragon). Featuring Gund Kwok Lion Dance Female Troupe, Boston Freemasons, and Wah Lum Kung Fu. Enjoy.

Those lion heads are so old school! i wish Malaysians didn't invented the mickey mouse looking lion heads. we could have those lions here in my country. started 2000 when my athletic association uses the Malaysian lion heads..

@ricefarmer88 I heard that they've been discouraged by the local gov't from using firecrackers ever since 9/11 (that may be the reason why we don't see as many as we used to =( )
