Wintering Honeybees with a quilt box

Wintering Honeybees, adding a quilt box or attic with insulation and pine shavings. I staple a screen to the bottom of a 3” rim or
Medium size box, add cotton fabric to the top, followed by pine shavings and rigid insulation. Later I will add a Bee Cozy or Wellington Wrap.
This method allows me to add a fondant cake below the cotton/shavings and on top of the screen without entering the hive or
breaking their propolis seals.
