"Who Am I?"
Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, in His discourse on 15th May, 1971, describes the journey of every being through 4 stages - Deham, Naaham, Koham and Soham. He also gifts us with an incredibly revealing interpretation of the concept of 'Neti Neti' which is useful in discovering ourselves.
The talk is also punctuated by many anecdotes and stories.
This talk was delivered in the Satsangh Hall of Prasanthi Nilayam on the 21st of July, 2017.

It is with reference to this that Swami says in Jnana Vaahini that in the Mahavakya "Aham Brahmasmi" the Jivi consists of two components "Aham" or ego,the confusion of the self with the body and as being involved with the world and sense objects,and "Brahman", the witness of the ego.Continuing as "Aham" or the ego,the jivi cannot realise its true nature,which is Brahman.The jivi has to adopt the attitude of witness of the ego or "Aham" to realise its true nature as the witness,Brahman itself.
I am the prayer praying to Me.
To forget about me and to see Me.
To be Me as He is.
As nothingness be it all.

Sai Ram brother! Thanks for this wonderful Satsang and for a timely reminder to ponder on the fundamental question.
I do have one request. Your thought experiment involving removal of body parts piece by piece - i didn't want to do that! I love you and it was horrific even to hear you had done these to your body in your thoughts :). I believe you can get to the same realisation by striking a meditative pose, cutting down all stimuli from the senses, and noticing that you continue to exist. Please consider this suggestion from your loving brother. Jai Sai Ram!
