The NEW battery powered MBW Inc ScreeDemon uses M-18 Lithium batteries to power this new type of vibrating screed.
The battery operated Screedemon is much quieter and lighter than most motor powered vibrating screeds.
There's no fumes so it's very good for inside jobs as well as outside ones.
All you need is a Milwaukee M-18 battery to power it, twist the throttle and you're in business.
The video shows us using the New ScreeDemon for the first time and I tell you my honest thoughts as to how it performed compared to the motor driven one.

Thinking about switching over to this from my gas screed. What do you think Mike? We pour 1-2 slabs a month mostly additions and the occasional whole house foundation. Also by watching your videos and your techniques using the wet pads I completely changed from doing elevation pins. My 48yard pour on a new home Im building this week went smoother than ever. Thanks again!!!

Great lower back saving tool. Anything that's a fair price, is lighter, quieter and gets the job done like this is a winner.

Great show as usual man, I repair screeds for a living and I can tell you this is a great screed for all the right reasons and compared to other others it’s way quieter, no fumes, no gas, no broken pull chords. My only question is how long does it last on a single battery charge… Keep on rockin man…

That’s pretty cheap considering the advantage you get able to talk to each other “hey, fill that in please” or the day your gas model decided to blow the engine, or the stink of exhaust inside foundation already capped off, wonder when they will make battery powered power trowels? When I bought my adjustable blade vibrastrike power screed from Darryl at AH Harris some 12 years ago, they had it on the shelf for over a year and he sold it to me at cost with a 12’ adjustable board, meaning you could calibrate it flat or use it with a crown, so it was a huge savings and great investment for our company, had the 4 stroke Honda engine on it, thing was great, but it was heavy, when I was doing floors all the time I would’ve definitely considered buying a battery screed, hey Mike, another great job, I hope to see you guys soon on one of our projects in the spring, always a pleasure watching you guys, good luck this winter

You can really WOW me, that’s the coolest, I know it’s hard, I’ve done my fair share. I was setting up to repair a set of brick stairs & I removed the loose brick, chiseled out the debris, then I leaned in brushing it off & click popped my sciatic man that tore me up real bad, but I did indeed finish the with my crews help, then it went like this 6 months at the chiropractor plus P.T. Good news back to it, but I’m sticking to my love carpentry

I was just thinking about this last month. The fact is you can just go a little bit. Because you don’t alway want the screed to vibrate and not always balls out either and depending you can’t always get it perfect.

I will most likely will sub out the concrete 6" slab work ( 134 yards ). How much should I expect to pay for the labor only to set the forms, rebar, and laying out the concrete and smoothing it to finish? I'm in Western Massachusetts area around Springfield, MA. You could use it on a slope with the right slump and good rakers. I personally like to hand screed a slope but that's just me. I think you could use it on a slump about 4 and higher. I haven't tried a 4 yet but that's my feeling.
