If you’re curious, I got the instrumental by running it through audacity vocal remover and clipping audio together so that different parts of the song had different degrees of vocals removed.

Good job, congratulations dude. As a vocalist I can understand your Sponce love and try to sing Periphery songs like him. But Spencer has an unique technique and he really knows how to fit the song for him. It seems like you're really straining yourself to sing these but I'm recommending to you take lessons from a good coach and improve a good technique for your health. Cheers!
Thank you very much! and thank you for the concern at my vocal health. Trust me I'm taking very many precautions and am not overworking my voice. I've seen so many stories of singers who lose their incredible voices due to bad technique. Honestly these vocals aren't hard on me, I kinda just overflex for the video, just so it doesn't look boring, because when I actually record my face is pretty stationary and I think that video would be kinda boring. But yeah I may one day hit up a vocal mentor just to make sure I'm on the right track. Cheers!

Thank you! It definitely didn't come over night, I started singing 7 years ago (I was honestly ABYSMAL when I started) and this past year I've been rigorously training my cleans up to this point. So it's not like it's impossible for anyone to get power in their upper range, just takes a lot of time and dedication! I've been very busy with university but I definitely am inspired to record more periphery with the new album just having been released (and the fact that I'm loving my new microphone). Stick around I'll have more things trickling out every so often!

Victor, I just saw your blood eagle collab, and I gotta say... Absolutely killer vocals. So much control, that I could only dream of at my level. I’d love to get some advice about how you found distortion without destroying your voice! Keep up the great work man 🤙🏻

Trust me, if I were to go back 6 years in time and look forward to the distortion I can do on my voice now I wouldn’t believe it. With lots of practice and dedication I guarantee anyone can do it. I was an absolutely terrible singer trust me lol
In terms of advice, it’s all about where you place the distortion. I’ve tried many different ways, and the consistent one that doesn’t hurt my voice at all is if I put the distortion in my soft palate / roof of mouth / nasal. That vibrates super nicely and makes a sick distortion sound that doesn’t hurt at all! If you look up videos about fry screams, it’s that fry scream but all up almost in your nose and thats what I do!
In terms of doing more James hetfield vocals, idk there isn’t much technique there for me. I just kinda growl in my throat in a way that doesn’t hurt, but it’s kinda hard to describe how exactly I can pass that on to someone else.. I’ll work on figuring that out soon enough! Come back to me in a comment in another video and I may have an explanation by then

How do you sing like this? Ive been training for a very small amount of time. Is there any tips?
Are you using mixed voice?
Yes for the high notes I use my mixed voice. For me it starts around A4-Bb4. It really did take me while for me to figure out how to push power into my upper register, what I had been doing before sounded more like head voice and was frail, and then I randomly discovered a register (because I also figured out how to yell scream) that allowed me to sing high notes much more powerfully. In the beginning I could only do it until around B4, but over months I practiced it so now I can sing in this powerful mixed voice up through my entire upper register (up to around G5). So I guess what I'm saying is it takes a long long time to develop your voice so be prepared to see slow improvements over multiple years, as long as you put in good and steady practice.

FEBRIZIOtv I used Audacity and frankensteined different vocal reduced renders depending on the part of the song to get the optimal. It’s pretty easy to do, my reductions ranged from 0.55 to 0.85, then instrumental sections were 0 of course. It’s an effect (under effects, calls vocal reduction) in the newer versions of audacity
