- Hey guys so normally I only cover hardware synths on this channel but this emulation of the Oberheim Eight Voice by Cherry Audio looked really interesting so I thought why not share the video of me playing around with some of the factory presets with you guys. Im using some effects inside of Ableton live 11.
Effects used:
Abletons Delay
Valhalla Vintage Verb
Native Instruments VC 76 Compressor

Great vid! Some reviewers destroy the effect by simply drifting through the presets and doodling ineffectively on the keys :(. You actually have the sense and skills to properly showcase what a great synth this is! Thanks!!! :)
When people talk about Cherry Audio plugins they often mention something like 'for the price it sounds good'. I disagree on that: their plugins do sound really good, regardless of the price. They have a certain clarity to them that I really like, and they always provide some very good presets.
Man, you really squeeze some great sounds out of this synth. I listen to your demo as if it were a song of one of my favorite artists. Thank you!
Hard to say no for $29 it sounds really good, good job 👍
Thanks! Thats what I thought too 😅
Sounds lovely. Absolutely amazinf

Cherry Audio is doing a pretty nice job. Thanks for sharing this demo
Thanks for watching!
Bought their Quadra and DCO-106 synths and have been playing around with this one as a demo. I'll be buying it.
Really nice just sitting listening to this
Wonderful Sounds!
Its really good but IMO the Elka-X is their best synth. It's the best synth I've ever used, software or hardware sound quality wise.
Cherry Audio never dissapointed me :3
I have an Oberheim 2 Voice and this is a very close approximation to its sound. The 8 voice in person...I think it's the fattest synth sound I've ever heard. You can stack with the 2 voice, but having all 8 would be a blast.
This is really good for the money (particularly at the moment).
No idea why they don't lead with that rather than put it right at the bottom of the page.
Definitely! The factory presets are also very well made 🙌
Behringer is working on a two voice clone, I'm waiting for it, but also the Pro 800 is something I would love to have and probably will buy. Anyway, nice demo.
Thanks mate! Yes the Pro 800 is on top of my synth list! Hope it will be shipping soon :)
Just buy this and other soft Synths and a decent keyboard controller.. so much more portable and cheaper ..
Great sounding journeys as always!
Do you have published any track?
🤩 Yeah this good! Thanks!
🙌
Very easy to close your eyes and fall back into 1978
beautiful sounds. lots of stuff on Plugin Boutique but this stood out to me. even as an emulation. not that thats bad. but i dont care with this one. Maybe its because the real hardware was really special. Something about it....i love it. im going to pick it up tonight
Ok, ok... it could be the difference between how the two were recorded and possible changes to CZcams's audio processing algorithms, but I find the following demo of the GForce OB-E v2 to be much more satisfying than this demo of Cherry Audio's Eight Voice. The GForce OB-E v2 simply sounds warmer, smoother, with greater width and depth. ...
Further, while still sounding great, it might just be the patch selections in this Cherry Audio Eight Voice demo, but most of the patches played seemed to be over-reliant on saturation caused by one source or another - perhaps an attempt to disguise the digital-leaning sound of this analog simulation. Compare with this demo of the GForce OB-E v2: czcams.com/video/ddo7iGwVRTI/video.html. ...
Price-wise, if you're on a budget, the Cherry Audio Eight Voice on sale at $29 at Cherry Audio and Plugin Boutique (reg. $39) is a no-brainer compared to the GForce OB-E v2 on sale at $132.99 at Plugin Boutique (reg. $199.99). However, if you're looking for highest quality emulation, it's worth the time and effort to download both for a fair comparison with your own ears on your own sound system. ...
All of that said, if a wide selection of great sounding presets is your goal, then viewing the Cherry Audio Eight Voice as an inexpensive 350-preset expansion pack for the GForce OB-E v2 would be the best of all worlds. I'll compare them soon, and if I love them both, then that's what it'll have to be. ...
EDIT: LOL! In the end, I decided to put my money on expansion packs for Dune 3 - an as great sounding but far more versatile synth with far more third-party expansions and community support than either of the above two emulations. Likewise for the FREE U-he Zebralette 3 - clearly a superior sounding engine. So very looking forward to Zebra 3, hopefully coming this year.
Very good. A drier mix would have been even better IMHO.
Why is their so cheap compared to others? Sounds great too
This is $19 until May 1!
DIVA OR EIGHT VOICE

Must admit I bought this and its decent but I don't. Seen to be able to get as lush a. Sound as I hear here. The presets built in are a bit of a let down and the synth itself one of the more complex to dial in a patch.
I must admit it sounds like 31.5 usd and not 29
you should admit it sounds pretty close to the real thing too
GForce's GUI is better, but this sounds pretty damn good. Too bad CA's GUIs always look like they're straight from the heydays of Windows XP.
Too much reverb
