When you just listen to this, it sounds like a completely natural arrangement, but when you actually watch Mike playing it, you realise the complexity required to achieve that.

Hey Jeff, the thing in the middle is a Neural DSP Quad Cortex. It’s a modeler/multi-effects unit similar to a Fractal or Helix type of box. It has the added nifty feature of being able to “capture” the characteristics of amplifiers and some types of effects pedals so that you can then use them as part of your effects patch. It also has an effects loop, so you can loop in other pedals, and you can incorporate MIDI commands into presets so that it can trigger MIDI-capable pedals to do stuff.
