- Elon Musk's company, Tesla, has unveiled the latest advancements of their humanoid robots. The Tesla Bot, also known as Optimus, can now walk independently (albeit slowly), mimic human actions, and move objects.
Optimus is designed to learn about its surroundings and remember how and when to interact with objects, as Musk explained. Standing at 172 cm tall and weighing nearly 60 kg, the robot moves at a speed of 8 km/h and can lift up to 20 kg. Importantly, the Tesla Bot is engineered to be easily toppled by an adult if necessary.
Optimus is intended to take over much of the routine human work, such as grocery shopping and other daily chores. Tesla assures that the robot is not designed to replace human jobs.
Musk believes that despite fears surrounding AI-powered robots, society will eventually need to integrate androids and become accustomed to them. In the future, there will be as many robots as humans, according to the billionaire.
The expected cost of the Tesla Bot is around $20,000, significantly cheaper than current alternatives.

How fast is the image capture and analysis processing? can it see and analyze video frames at every second?or it captures 1 snapshot, then it's LLM analyzes the data from that one image, then apply logic and send action instructions to motors which I guess would take 10-15sec, then take the next image?slow walk is because of that?
