Just discovered this video series today and will binge this for weeks! Love the TWI!
You've got a lot to watch, I've hit Volume 2 now as well!
I barely ever comment on videos, but this series is great! I'm a long-time reader of TWI, but re-experiencing the series like this is always epic. For Worm, I'd recommend the podcast (also on CZcams) "We've got Worm" - they do 1-2 hour episodes for each arc in Worm. Two guys, one who has read Worm already, one who's completely new. This could become something similar for TWI!
Thanks for commenting, I always forget to on other people's videos even though I have a channel so I get it! That Worm podcast sounds great, I'll definitely watch it when I get to Worm.
You talking about the dragons action this video kinda confused me, but it seems pirateaba did not only improve the writing style, but added some minor clarifications and plot details as well.
When I started reading TWI you did not get a Dragon perspective and I am pretty sure not a Goblin one either. Those are both characters that are introduced a bit later in the story.
For people reading the Kindle-Versions: Are those in the Kindle-Versions as well? As far as I recall those were published before pirateaba went back and improved volume 1.
Sooo it looks like it is time for a reread (not that I am complaining).
That's so interesting to hear, I hope you're able to join the read along here and you can let me know what's changed!
The rewrite happened this year and is on the website only so far. The Volume One audiobook has been re-recorded but is not yet out to the public and the Kindle version has not yet been updated. It sounds like both will come out early next year.
I'm confused too but in a good way, I just finished audio book 11 and book is so far back that they all blend together in my head. I'm listening to this to re-live it and hear from someone else excperience. But I can'T say anything because as I said they blend together so I don't want to spoil anything :) Keep^on reading!
@@mistersquigee5119 thanks for listening along!
Book 10 (e/audiobooks) is equivalent to Volume 6 (website) and the Volumes are just getting longer as Pirate keeps going.
Crikey! I did see in the foreword that the chapters in the first volume are much shorter than in the later volumes too. Hopefully I can continue to do 2+ a week.
@@SamHarrison2099 You can, people have been for years. Pirate releases 2 chapters a week for 3-4 weeks a month and I've kept up for years.
@@sorryman105 I do usually read around 1.5 books a week, so I'm pretty sure I can carve out the extra 30 mins or so to read some chapters. I would like to read faster than they can write ideally to give me some hope of catching up.
@@SamHarrison2099 Pirateaba normally takes a week off every month and lately with spin off books, audiobooks and so on the writing has slowed a bit, so it's always a good time to read!
Well I have a long way to go to catch up, but I'm loving the journey so far! I don't want to read too many chapters and overwhelm people with the weekly reading either.
Fun times, TWI is good. But as the resident Worm fanboy:
If you want to get an impression of how Worm continues and feels in even later chapters and Arcs, I recommend you to finish Arc 1 of Worm. It's only a few thousand words and shows more of Worm's strengths. Just if you want to switch or take a break from TWI.
That said, I also love TWI and will enjoy either read-through. Although a read-through of TWI without making videos is a massive undertaking in itself.
Good luck and don't burn yourself out.
That's a good idea, I think in months when I want a break from fantasy I'll try and read that first arc in a single sitting so I have a better impression.
