Can't believe they left out the scene where River Song suddenly realizes the Doctor is standing right next to her and HE gets to say, "Hello sweetie."
"You can stop now" great way to start.
capaldi bowed out with such grace that one could call him a swan man
Doctor: "And a Happy Christmas to all of you at home."
I think Santa is a timelord....
Well! That explains a lot.
Thatâs why he looks so different every time he is in the Mall
It's so sad not to have a holiday episode this year đ
same
@@paulflint6254 they're coming back dudes hold your tits
@LH3STV I know really what the devil happened to our holiday special ?đ€âčïž
@@harveylee51 Chibs has left the building and Russell T must be busy making Season 14
I was actually hoping they'd show a repeat of Voyage of the Damned, in memory of Wilf and Her Majesty. That would have been fitting for this year.
Canât wait for the return of Christmas specials
21:41 the ânobody importantâ bitâŠ. :French chef kiss:
Watching it now the scene where the master makes everyone turn into him is really funny. Also it must have been super complicated to put together!
Personally I don't understand how living in a world where everyone looks like John Simm is supposed to be a bad thing.
So happy they are bringing the doctor who Christmas specials next year can't wait love watching this show
Did they really leave out the shark drawn sleigh and all of the amazing singing by the greatest living singer in Christmas Carol?
Celebrating the return of Christmas specials!! đ We have had brilliant ones â€ïžđâ€ïžđ
Canât wait for 2023! đ„°
Just look at the Doctor's face when he gets public recognition... The beginnings of the Timelord Victorious...
I am so thankful for this video. I had to get rid of HBOMAX cuz I couldnât afford it so this Christmas I couldnât watch the Doctor who specials like I always do⊠(traditionally) but I found this. And now my tradition stands⊠â€
Donna... always epic!!!
She is SO my favorite. I love all her routines, esp the one she does w Tennant where she plays a student and he the teacher.đ
@@grandmalovesmebestdidnât like her character in her first appearance, she was SO shrill. But, I love how her character had such compassion and I grew to love her character. It was nice to have a companion that wasnât an unrequited love story for a change and her âendingâ was the most heart wrenching I think.
@Ryan Speer --
Honestly, I cannot choose ... each special has its own allure, be it the guests (Kylie Minogue, Katherine Jenkins, etc.) or part of introducing new friends (Clara, etc.) or the Doctor ...
6:15 Always loved that speech!
David Tennant and Matt Smith are the best Doctor Whos of all times! â€â€
Matt Smith is.
Nah. Chris is best.
The Doctor is the best no matter the incarnation - they are all The Doctor and they are all brilliant in different ways
We need the Christmas Specials back, fer Dr. Who...
DOCTOR: I'm the Doctor. I'm a Time Lord. I'm from the planet Gallifrey in the constellation of Kasterborous. I'm nine hundred and three years old and I'm the man who's going to save your lives and all six billion people on the planet below. You got a problem with that?
SLADE: No.
DOCTOR: In that case, allons-y!
DOCTOR: Sorry, what did you say? Did you mention the rules? Now, listen. Bit of advice. Tell me the truth if you think you know it. Lay down the law if you're feeling brave. But, Daleks, never, ever tell me the rules!
DALEK: Emergency! Emergency! The Doctor is regenerating!
DALEK: The Doctor is regenerating!
DOCTOR: Oh, look at this. Regeneration number thirteen. We're breaking some serious science here, boys. I tell you what, it's going to be a whopper!
DALEK: Exterminate! Exterminate the Doctor.
DOCTOR: You think you can stop me now, Daleks? If you want my life, ha, ha, come and get it!
DOCTOR: Clara.
CLARA: Hello, you stupid old man.
DOCTOR: You're back. You're in my head. All my memories are back.
CLARA: And don't go forgetting me again, because, quite frankly, that was offensive.
BILL: Memories. Important, right?
NARDOLE: I know what you're thinking. Where is he? Hello, sir.
DOCTOR: When you're already dying, you're entitled to think that your day couldn't get any worse, but here you are. And both of you are here. How does that work?
BILL: We can be everyone. We are everyone.
NARDOLE: Yeah, it's good this, innit? Now I'm all made of glass, not just my nipples. Yeah, but they got my hair a bit wrong though, didn't they?
BILL: You don't have any hair!
NARDOLE: I have invisible hair. Got a suggestion for you, then.
DOCTOR: Oh, there's a novelty.
NARDOLE: Don't die. Because if you do, I think everybody in the universe might just go cold.
DOCTOR: Can't I ever have peace? Can't I rest?
BILL: Of course you can.
NARDOLE: It's your choice.
BILL: Only yours.
NARDOLE: We understand.
DOCTOR: No. No, you don't. You're not even really here. You're just memories held in glass. Do you know how many of you I could fill? I would shatter you. My testimony would shatter all of you. A life this long, do you understand what it is? It's a battlefield, like this one, and it's empty. Because everyone else has fallen. Thank you. Thank you both, for everything that you were to me. What happens now, where I go now, it has be alone.
3 badass and emotional scenes from each of these unforgettable legends! Can't wait for the Christmas specials to return!đđđđ
The best Doctor ever
Worst
Oh yes, the best
They should have left the one that was the equivalent of The Lion the witch and the wardrobe the Doctor who version with it's happy ending where she sees husband etc...
33:00 âđ is comingâ that's a đŻ of Thrones reference! đ±
Merry Christmas whovians
Happy Holiday to the world.
Doctor Widow and wardrobe is my favourite Matt smith special
Say what you will about Moffat. He could write a great Christmas special and no offence Davis but blew he's predecessor out of the water with them, in my opinion.
Where was Donna's gramps at her wedding, and who was walking her down the isle? I have to rewatch
That was Donna's dad Geoff, originally he was supposed to be in season 4 they even filmed some scenes for Partners In Crime (Star gazing in the hill), but the actor was ill at the time and he sadly passed away during filming so they brought back Bernard as her granddad, that's why there's a reaction from Sylvia when the doctor tells her about popping back in time borrowing the money for the lottery ticket from a man it was her late husband and Donna's father.
Adding to what the previous commenter said - There was a bit in one of the series 4 episodes where Sylvia makes a comment to wilf about how he was sick during donnaâs wedding. Thatâs how they explained away why wilf wasnât there.
"COME AND GET IT!!"
I wish theyâd show the part where Madgeâs husband comes home after she helps the forest get out into the stars
Question for everyone favourite doctor who Christmas special truthfully?
I really like a Christmas carol
The Husbands of River Song.
Any of Matt smiths though right now maybe the not narnia one.
They have them on dvd of David Tennant with Christopher eccleston and also Matt smith collection of doctor who as well besides Peter capaldi
MERRY CHRISTMAS from MAINE
32:29 - Jenna Coleman is so cute--even upside down.
Right? When I heard a girl from DW was playing Jeanie Shrimpton in a movie, I thought it was Jenna bc she looks so like her and she can do so many looks. Was surprised to find out it was the girl who played Amy instead.
Has anyone seen that movie?
If this list doesn't include "The Curious Case of Santa Claus" then it's not a good list.
It's a doctor who documentary about Santa
took me a long time to warm up with matt smith but in the end he was a good doctor, what i cant say from our last doctor as much i cherrisched a woman plays the role she was to hyper for me..
Kinda sux when Astra dies
I hate the scary stuff.
I guess Iâm a wuss these daysâŠ
Iâve been in way to many fights. Real fights
That 24 years part always chokes me up. Iâm a pushover for lines like that
So many people say that they didnât like all these doctor after Tenneant -Smith maybe theyâre the younger generation donât remember the originals before the modern era and the revamping of the whole Doctor Who in the 90s 2000s and those early ones they were more or less the factors Capaldi basically behind his doctor because he was a fan a very big fan boy and he always, always wanted to play doctor. The doctor say so he was thrilled to even get a part on Doctor Who, which he did in the tenant years later like after Matt Smith, era he became the doctor and and some of his Scripps really bad but he made the character believable because he pattern the character after the doctors he grew up with. I can see a bit of Tom Baker and his doctor I can see a bit of. I forgot the name of number one or number two, but I can see in his doctor pieces of them, and so itâs kind of fitting that last of his his era the Christmas episode of his era has him with a look-alike of number one the original as he likes to call him self in that scene juxtaposed against him. Itâs because theyâre so very much alike. I think the reason so many people liked Tennant and Smith so much is the idea that the doctor could be a romantic lead, but that was never the way with Doctor Who was supposed to be about because Sarah Jane Smith is best friend never anything else Iâm talking about number four here and they were a long time together. Same thing with Donna, but Donna makes it very very clear sheâs not interested in him that way and you know itâs funny cause she comes off like a sister in so many ways my favourite scene of tenants era is when Donna tells him that the machine clone version of himself, âsheâs your daughterâand he says no sheâs not. She takes out his stethoscope and makes him hear that she has two heartbeats. Sheâs the one who calls her Jenny sheâs like the aunt whoâs telling the father of the kid. This is your kid there is no doubt at all you donât have a doubt at all, but this is your kid, so why are you behaving like a jack ass and tenant pulled it off because heâs a good actor. Capaldi pulled it off, especially with Riversong. He made it look like they were not just an old married couple but like heâd been waiting all this time to have time with her with river song so while I like tenant fantastic actor, and I like him in most anything Iâve seen Iâve seen him play bad guy (I donât even wanna watch him half the time playing that cause heâs so convincing)OK Iâm at Smith is fantastic as well. The problem is that since theyâve brought back the show theyâve tried to make the doctor a romantic lead and that was never what he was about to say that from the beginning thatâs what I liked about the show a doctor showed you could be friends without getting all entangled, although he did have a bad habit of being Peter Pan and forgetting to actually say goodbye in the way, you would say goodbye to a good friend, who is moving away and you probably wonât see you ever again. So as far as that goes no cold. He was very very good as the doctor, I like tenant better. It is true because he makes it look more mad cap which is more kind of in keeping with some of the original doctors however, they got so much bloody Romance in all of them fat I felt the detract from the idea that the doctor was, not the kind of person who got involved all that often and I mean emotionally and physically involved and Sim taking the name of the doctor. The doctor is a healer, but in order to be a good doctor, especially as anybody in the medical profession whether psychologist psychiatrist, or even a medical doctor of any kind do you have to have a certain degree of non-emotional clarity we have to keep a distance between yourself and your patients the reason for that being and Iâve seen it with a lot of doctors and a lot of nurses they get burned out, and when they get burnt out they die so that last seen what he wants and and he he wants it to be over thereâs a reason and I think Capaldi brings it home very very well. As for Jodie Whittaker I think she was put in an untenable on. Thereâs some Scripps that are so bad that even the best actor would have a hard time making them work. I think she was given a lot of horrendous and not thought out well Scripps, Iâm using voice to text and please understand that it will write things the way it wants to not how I would write them but my hands do not work properly anymore and I cannot type. So many people say they couldnât get into Capaldi the truth is, I donât think theyâve ever seen any of the really early Doctor Whoâs because have they they would have seen just how close he is to the early doctors the biggest problem with voice to text is it will sometimes use the word she when Iâm saying he it will do that and it will put words that I would never say and it will put it as it wants to. For example, the word era will not be spelt that way most of the time it will be spelt anyone of the number of Waze, and as you can see here, it puts words the way it wants to not the weather supposed to be spelled. I think the Jodie Whittaker got a raw deal. She got a bad writer who didnât care enough about the show but itâs history about what makes the show so beloved after 60 years weâve been after 50 years for that matter but itâs still going on the answer to that is people wanted to show about a time traveler, Adrian happens to be Mail OK but you never know it by the way he acts because he comes off very asexual. However, the new versions were very understanding that youâre going to make it popular. They would have to do it a little romance in swashbuckling to it so first they brought in a guy who people used to jokingly say that the doctor has 007 or thatâs the 007 version do you know James Bond and then they had a tenant take over at his doctor while still a little crazy and still a little harsh and thereâs no second chances etc. they bring him a pretty girl blonde. Of course he was asked to be blonde if heâs gonna fall for her and well the rest is history isnât it, I think Donna might be the modern version of Sarah Jane, but Sarah Jane was always a more polite and less than your face sort of person which Donnaâs character is not but when you look at the doctor as he was, then you can see why it was necessary and who knows maybe theyâll give a spin off in which Donna takes over Bannerman Road as the Sarah Jane Institute who knows we will never know. For all that they say that she can never remember (Donna) I think thatâs kind of dumb for one thing nobodyâs ever bother to see if even though sheâs part human if she can regenerate Dr. thought no because well sheâs human. She wouldnât be able to take a time out to mine and it was causing her a great deal of pain, but it would be interesting if they found a way to correct that but because she has now a life probably we saw her get married so sheâs probably got a husband and kids or maybe heâs her ex-husband now whatever sheâs got probably kids sheâs had a life who knows maybe theyâll turn like I said, maybe itâll turn her into the new Sarah Jane, although to be honest I donât think anyone could ever be Sarah Jane Smith even if they had tried to bring back a new actress to play her they have never been able to pull it off. Some people embody the character they play so much so you canât imagine anyone else really playing it, and that was her. I think the reason that Doctor Who went downhill after number for Tom Baker. His version of the doctor regenerated was because none of those who came after and the writer some cells could not really fill his shoes play that was so long people got so used to him, I couldnât imagine anyone else why none of them lasted as long and that sad because some of those guys are really good actors, but they would never given a chance is for Tom Baker. I could see why she never wanted to come back to Dr. who for more than 20+ years he couldnât find a job thatâs how untenable being typecast had made him. Well, Iâve said pretty much everything Iâm gonna say here I still think a palled. He was a fine actor for Doctor Who. He played the character very well under the circumstances, and I do mean under the circumstances, when the writing is bad, you need a fantastic actor to be able to play it and make it viable and even then a lot of the times it just wonât run him actually made it work not 100% but enough that I would say he deserves to be counted as one of the doctors as for Jodie Whittaker, I donât think she ever stood a chance in writing was stereotypical, badly written ablest in so many ways. I donât even want to go into how bad a lot of it was and she did the best she could with what she had but now she doesnât come off like the doctor, but thatâs not her fault. That belongs as everyone has put it on Chibnallâs shoulders.
Adding this as a final thoughtâŠ
I will say this, I didnât like the idea that they were bringing in a woman because they wanted to make this more PC etc. etc. but I was willing to give the show a chance and there was some parts of it that were fantastic but they were so few, and so far between That it would be like putting in a big cup of water a drop of coffee you could start around and you might be able to smell the scent of coffee maybe and Iâm talking real coffee Iâm not talking you know extract but you wonât be able to taste the coffee if you get my meeting. Who knows maybe in another 10 years time if it survive that long, theyâll bring her back as one of the whatever however, many doctors there are and Iâll give her real lines in a real role and sheâll actually be able to plant because the writing will be good, frankly, I donât hold out much hope for Doctor Who most things in this world do not live past 65-70 years at most I mean, yes, there are few exceptions, but generally most things are not built to last, so they donât this day and age where people rewrite everything because they have no brilliant new ideas of their own. They donât read enough to have those ideas well, the writing basically suffers as do the shows. I couldâve made a pun here and say and it shows but Iâm not going to so hereâs hoping they get it right this time around.

Whatâs your problem ?
Abysmally bad show makes the obligatory English Christmas episode with the most ungodly ugly lead actor they could cast.

How mad is your dad that rather than Jackson Pollack your mothers face he opted to contribute his baby batter to bake the idiot pie you turned out to be? Itâs not too late.
