elrynx2 Thank you very much for the GREAT info! I’m sure Celine did a wonderful job on Tina’s famous cuts but I never knew that Celine had her take on Heart’s famous track “Alone”! PS-A feels years back on CMT’s “Crossroads” Heart appeared with Wynonna Judd who sang lead and dueted with Ann Wilson on “Alone”-Wynonna later recorded it as a solo cover! Worth a listen-as I’m quite sure Celine’s version is as well! 🎤🎧🎹
There is something which is very important on this video. A real alive public, who dances and enjoy it. Look with eyes and not though screens. NO PHONES ! Just joy.
I think that this is the best version of this amazing song sung by miss celine dion, it's fast and hit the high notes and just wana make u twist and showt
Oh hells bells people, it's not like Celine put that song on one of her CD's and tried to sell it. She sang it at a concert to get the crowd moving...and to have FUN! That's it. She didn't ruin the song, she had fun with it and did a fine job. Lighten up! Celine is one of the best entertainers because she knows how to have FUN, and interact with her audiences. For all the STUPIDOS who they this is an original Beatles song..it's NOT! The Beatles COVERED it. Celine rocks, The Beatles rock, the end
Wow, i didnt expect it to be this good! But she caught the spirit of the song, its meant to be a "lets go mental song" and she is having a better time than anyone else! Yeah its cool :)
This video is AMAZING! She really knows how to get a crowd on their feet! And her voice... is literally like an angels. I can listen to her all day! (Which I do) (: Best singer there is, AND she can sing live. Surprisingly not like other singers. Definetly my all time favorite singer
Since when does someone have to be as legendary as the original artist just to cover a song? You guys take this clip way too seriously. She's not trying to do anything but have fun and get the crowd smiling and having fun. Check and check.
In facts Quebec is a big ass province. Bigger than one third of the whole U.S. We are 8 millions of inhabitants here, mostly living in the south and on the coasts coz in the north we would freeze even more
This was a lot better than I expected. Interesting that so many give credit to the Beatles. Listen to the oldest one you can find of the Isley brothers doing it. They were the second group to perform it, and they made a hit out of it. Their version has soul in it. Soul is hard for me to define, because I'm an old white guy, But I do recognize it . The Isley's were supposed to record it with Phil Spector, but the songwriter Bert Berns , "absolutely hated Spector's version because it killed the feel of the song", so he and the Isley's recorded it. That version is the hit, and contains the "soul" I'm talking about. It literally makes you want to get up and dance.
+Lauren smith Actually Lauren, while the Isley Brothers first made it a hit, the song was first recorded by a white group (the Top Notes) and was written by two white men (Phil Medley and Bert Berns). While you are correct in the insinuation that much of rock and roll is derivative of black culture, this song was not taken from a black artist. In fact, the original song derived more influences from Latin culture than anything.
Would it wonderful if Celine would make a special show RETRO presented on the PBS channel singing all the big hits like this and some tribute to great voice singer like TIMI YURO («Hurt», «I apologise», «Make the world go away» and other like Dionne Warwick, her voice is so volubile that she can do all this better than anybody else. René contact TJ Lubinsky, please.
@superman11978 Actually, most of that arrangement was by Bert Russell (the composer) producing The Isley Brothers and played by them. They added the "aaaaah" though.
Bless her heart she was so dorky as an entertainer but what an INCREDIBLE VOCALIST. She was and still remains the top 3 in July opinion. Whitney , Mariah , then Celine . You hear a lot of Whitney in her . Celine was a tad more precise perhaps but Whitney more soul of course.
Middle of 2024 , put your hands up ✋ shake it up, baby, now (shake it up baby) Twist and shout (twist and shout) Come on, come on, come, come on, baby, now (come on baby) Come on and work it on out (work it on out) You know you twist, you little girl (twist little girl) You know you twist so fine (twist so fine) Come on and twist a little closer now (twist a little closer) And let me know that you're mine, woo
What a surprise! Celine can ROCK out! If she did an album of rock covers like this one,it would sell! What an entertainer!!!

John Smith yeah the song orginally belonged to black people which is the isley brothers
+John Smith You got that right. The Isley Brothers' version is far supreme. Actually, I even like the Shangri-Las' version better than the Beatles'.
+Lauren smith Actually Lauren, while the Isley Brothers first made it a hit, the song was first recorded by a white group (the Top Notes) and was written by two white men (Phil Medley and Bert Berns). nope
Lauren smith ...Are you serious? Do some quick fact checking. It's not a hidden secret.
Great 😘😍
Mama Celine juga bisa lagu yg semangat. mantap ma.....

Check out Beverly Knight singing this song.

Wow I pretty much enjoyed this more than the original. The song suits her, i didnt know it would fit in a female vocal.
