In today's video, I visit family friends on the island of Endelave Denmark. Povl Toft takes me flying in his Piper Cub to see the island from above. I speak with Povl and his daughter Victoria Toft about aviation and becoming a pilot. Later on in the video, I sit down with Povl to learn more about agriculture in Denmark and his time spent in Montana on my family's farm.

My Story…
Hello. My name is Kate Stephens, and I am an 18-year-old 4th-generation Montana farmer. My family has been farming wheat in north-central Montana since my great grandfather immigrated from Denmark in 1912 and homesteaded our land. My family has been teaching me about farming since I was two years old. I run one of the combines on the farm at harvest. I believe that it is important for everyone to know where their food comes from and the families who produce it. I love our farm, and I hope that my Farm to Fashion and Farm to Table products can help educate people about where their food comes from in a fun way. That is how Kate's Ag - Farm to Fashion became a reality. I hope you love my products as much as I do because this is an extension of our farm and the grains we have been growing to feed other families for over one hundred years.
Very interesting video. One of the "neatest" memorial services closed with the gospel song, "I'll Fly Away". Hal was in his late 70's and he was a certified aviation mechanic as well as an accomplished pilot who oversaw a fairly large groups of other pilots. (He had had a life ending cardiac event one early morning while exercising.) The video showed him flying an early restored double wing airplane with his scarf blowing in the breeze flying above a small airport. It was a spectacular end to a wonderful memorial service. Of course Hal will be missed. What a way to end a memorial service! 😊

What an amazing video Kate. Thank you very “super” much. I have a Super Cub very similar to that one, it once belonged to my grandfather, and I even snuck it out once when I was a kid to fly my oldest sister to Indiana to visit a boy she met at 4-H camp. I did so under severe threat, not because I was a bad kid. I remember flying just a few feet above the telephone poles until we got far enough away to evade any neighbors who might recognize us.

Kate, my son is a pilot these days with Qantas. When he went solo as a teenager and landed he had a bucket of cold water thrown over him.

Welcome back! It must be startling to feel how much more responsive a small airplane is without the weight of the instructor on board. Most everyone I have heard talk about their first solo mentions that.

Good to see you back! One of my favorite airplanes to fly was a Super Cub. The company I worked for had an agricultural model with tundra tires and we used it to check weeds in the wheat fields when it was muddy in the early spring.

Back in my farm years. I had a PA12 which is a offshoot of the cub. Used it a lot to fly off to citys where we could get parts that were't available local. Then fly the part right back to the field. Avation can be a big part of ag.

One of my favourite videos so far! I love flying but don't get to very often. I've been up in a neighbour's Piper Cub a few times as a kid maybe at 8 then at 11 or 12 then decades later back up in the same Cub at 50!
Much safer air up there than maybe some air we're breathing on the fields at times.
Such a treat to see you back visiting your roots in Denmark. I was recently watching an old vid when you were visiting the cranberry farm in ON. Only a 30 min drive from here. I even have one of their Volunteer green hats! Did you get one when you visited last year? Congrats on your solo. I knew it was going to happen but I guess I missed the video when you talked about it till now. Excellent 👍❤️🙏

For you those videos are great memories too. I think Denmark is a wonderful country. I didn't expect there would be another video from Denmark, what a surprise Kate! How wonderful that you are now flying solo.
I myself once flew in an old Douglas DC-3 (as a passenger, you know). It was an old government plane with two pilots and a flight attendant and seating for about 20 passengers. Four mechanics also were in the plane. I did ask them why they came along (because it was a very old plane!), but luckily they made the trip just for fun! My daughter Samantha flew once in a Cessna.
It's very special, I'm extremely afraid of heights, but I'm not afraid in an airplane. Lots of greetings to you and family! Take care!
