Slight theory: Plushtrap is ‘active’ from the second time they turn him on. Of course, he isn’t quite super-fast-murder-munching-robot yet, but allow me to explain.
The first reason I think this could be true is his voice mimicking. I can only assume Plushtrap can only mimic sounds they hear (going by the fact they use what Oscar’s mum refers to him as). This means they have to be somewhat active from before 30th October, as they haven’t heard Oscar’s mum after they are fully activated.
You might have noticed that I specified the second time he was activated. For this I have a theory as well, though it’s a far shakier one. I’m assuming that Plushtrap uses a lot of energy, as simply offering it connection to mains power causes a power outage. This is just an idea, and one with very little proof, but what if Plushtrap’s power availability alters how much it can act? With the first battery, that was included when it was returned, so it very well could be out of energy. The next battery is destroyed by Plushtrap (ending in the battery leaking). Perhaps this was just enough power for Plushtrap to listen? That’d explain the noise emulation.
One last thing, regarding the ending. We say Plushtrap Chaser is defeated, but all we know is that they are dismantled. Because that never stops vengeful murder robots, going by the (minigame where he gets springlock’d but I can’t remember it’s name) minigame. Just putting it out there.
One other thing, the ‘lights out’ line could be from the prior owner. It could be addressing a child at bedtime, when Plushtrap would be most able to move.

Here is just a thing that i noticed with these books that i like to share.
I see a pattern with these stories.
-The first story is the one that the book is named after and is a self containt story.
And then the other 2 stories are sort off connected with the animatronics and time peroid.
Into to pit's last 2 stories have the funtime animatronics. Baby and funtime freddy and they are both broken and lost at a junkyard. Also they both take place after fnaf sl were ennard escaped.
And fetch's 2 last stories take place at the peak of freddy's success. And they have the lonely freddy's who imo are the freddles from fnaf 4 and plushtrap who also came from fnaf 4. Both these stories seem to take place around that time peroid where fredbears family dinner and freddy's fazbears pizza are super populair.
Its just a thing i noticed and i hope the other books keep that pattern because it is super interresting

I.e. if the eyes were clear-ish when the Plushtrap was returned and then got cloudy over the course of several days, that might indicate that whoever owned the eyes and teeth had only been killed relatively recently.

Yknow, it would be really nice to see a fnaf story where the main kid is actually very happy
like both parents/carers are alive, they get along with their siblings, no real bully problems, and everything like that. Seeing their world crashing to the ground from a seemingly perfect setting would be amazing
as great as these stories are (with kids who are struggling/having a bad time) it would be nice to see a story break the mold

Baby could've easily lost had the MC made a different wish. Funtime Freddy just got lucky, had Millie stayed in her room then nothing would've happened. Fetch wasn't inherently evil, just acting on his programming. Lonely Freddy got lucky just like Funtime Freddy.

Theory, The crying child was a tester for the nightmare animatronics. So, all of the nightmare animatronics are like The plushtrap in the story, and are like toys, since they behave like Plushtrap, light shines on them, they go away. You notice that most of them have voices in UCN, and there similar to each other. It could mean, that they are mimicking William Afton, or anyone they hear, but they sound a little bit different then each other, so that’s why they’re jumpscares sound different. It could mean that they actually aren’t programmed with jumpscares, but they are mimicking the screams of the child. It could just all mean that all the fnaf 4 characters that aren’t the brother or crying child and the ones at the pizzeria, are all prototypes for the future animatronics like Lonely Freddy and the Plushtrap in this story. So that’s why there are monitors in the fnaf 5 area of the house. So that means, that the fnaf 4 animatronics don’t actually kill you when you get jumpscared, but it’s a test. That’s why you keep playing, you are the crying child, you are the tester for those animatronics. It means it takes 6 days to do the testing, since there are 6 main nights. That’s just my theory. Fnaf four animatronics are prototypes for future “toys,” made by William Afton.

My theory is that the Freddy's locations have special technology built by William Afton to attract children and lure them to Freddy's so he can gain their soul remenent and give him immortality.the reason I think this is because their is a game lore and a book lore and in the book lore William Afton wanted soul remenent to make himself immortal

I mean not even chunky cheese is as popular as this fictional restaurant, so if this theory is correct, then we can easily assume that William afton has some how made some kind of special technology to hypnotize children and adults alike into the pizzerias in order for him to take their remnant and reach immortality.
But that still leaves one question, Why does William afton stuff their bodies inside animatronics in order for the animatronic to get possessed?? I mean if William afton is trying to reach immortality, then what does brining animatronics to life have to do with that?? I mean he could just Barry the bodies somewhere. 🤔
Esper Angel, but again, why doesn’t William afton not just make one single metal animatronic suit, and put all the the children’s remnant on it, so he can use it as his new body? Rather than making separate animatronics that are obviously going to confront him and trap him Inside a spring lock suit?
Unless the other animatronic were basically a storage unite for the children’s remnant so William afton could later collect it out of them and use it on himself! 🧐
Remnant* Nice theory tho very believable, the new game being set in the mall has got to be something for the lonely freddys or Plushtrap or...y’know. Or, the mall is nothing and just new animatronics with a small clue that breaks the entire timeline which I hope will happen cause it will be fun to see matpat going insane and others rebuilding the timeline only for fun XD :P

I like how Scott has the _guts_ to kill his own characters in a children’s/teen book. Most characters have plot armor. Not saying some of Scott’s characters _do not_ have plot armor but just focusing on these little stories.. ye.
@@somethingwithbungalows well, I've actually thought about that. What if not all of these characters completely survive, because they're not the main character? The main character is the Stitchwraith, who I have ideas of who it could be, three of which tie it in with the original trilogy.
A. Its William Afton, who only survived Fourth Closet because of what he was doing to himself.
B. Stitchwraith is Ennard, and that explains why he has a hunch and all thats seen is a white face.
C. Its another character from the original trilogy, most likely John, I mean, think about how big of a plot twist that would be, Scott revealing that John became so deranged after Fourth Closet, that he is getting children killed to find out how to bring Charlie back, by implanting her soul in another body, like with Lonely Freddy

D. The Stitchwraith is none other than Elizabeth, who is rebuilding herself into Scrap Baby until she can go and get revenge, by trapping John and friends inside animatronics

I think the reason why kids who've had either a tragedy strike or something happen recently that affected them negatively in some way are targeted by these monstrosities is because the kids are in a place of vulnerability. If the kids are vulnerable, they have less of a chance of being able to put up a fight or be mentally equipped to fight back, making them easier targets. The protagonists of these stories always go off on their own, and they're old enough that their parents aren't always checking up on them. Teens have a tendency to want to be more independent, and therefore secluded themselves from their family and sometimes even their friends, which makes it easier to just swap with them and no one will suspect a thing. Like how in the books, the robots took the victims to a secluded area snd killed them, far away from anyone who would be able to see them and warn anyone else.
If I was younger and I wanted someone to tell me a story I would definitely choose dawko

The new book confirms what remnant is. Tormented memories of people that are left behind on objects. I think the stitchwraith is trying to collect remnant. This is prob because when the man that created the stitchwraith died, HIS remnant was put in the stitchwraith. He was experimenting on remnant and now is continuing his research as the stitchwraith.
